What kind of veil should I get to go with my wedding dress?

My dress is a Mori Lee and I have no idea what kind of veil to get for it! Thank you :)

Re: What kind of veil should I get to go with my wedding dress?

  • I am a huge fan of one tiered (or even two tiered) cathedral length veils.  I just think they are so dramatic and since this is your only time to ever wear a veil I say go all out.

I would probably say to stay away from a lace edged veil just because you don't want it to compete with your beautiful lace dress.  You could always find one that has a touch of sparkle to the edge to compliment your belt.

  • I think a simple, raw edge cathedral length veil would look gorgeous.

  • I agree! I would go with a tulle cathedral-length veil. Would give you drama without taking away from your dress.
  • I wore a lace-edged veil with my lace dress and I don't think they detracted from one another. Definitely go as long as is practical - mine was floor length since I was planning on having the ceremony outside and didn't want the veil picking up grass bits.

I'm wearing a lace edged veil as well, tried on both tulle cathedral, and the lace edged veil with the dress, and it really was no competiton, the lace edged one won.  There's something so classic and romantic about a lace edged veil.

I think it all depends on what kind of look you're going for /style of your wedding.  To me, the tulle veil gave the drama factor, which was too much for me, and the lace edged (I got fingertip length) was just softer, more romantic. And that's what I liked.  But it's all personal opinion, but just know I don't think you could go wrong with either type of veil with the style of dress you're wearing.  It's beautiful by the way!
