Does BBB have a thank-you manager?

I thought it did, but I can't seem to find it! Trying to track down the giver of two mystery gifts at the shower...pretty sure they are from the same person (appetizer plates and a lazy Susan server from the same company/design), and they were wrapped so they were definitely brought by someone rather than shipped to the house in advance. I opened everything from everyone who was there and no one said, "Oh wait, there's more over here!" so I have no idea from whom they could be. I was hoping to get a clue from BBB but no such luck thus far...might have to track it down the old fashioned way. There must be a way to see on the BBB site who purchased what, right? Why can't I find it?

ETA: Or rather I thought I opened everything from everyone who was there...at least everything I saw and that my sisters handed to me...and I wrote TY notes for everyone who was there so if someone gave these additional gifts I'd like to re-do the note and include them before I send them out on Monday. It's strange that I'd miss unopened gifts at a shower, but there ya go! How do I make sure this person gets properly thanked if there's no info online? How do I do this in the fastest and least awkward way possible? TIA!

    Is it possible the gift came from someone who was unable to attend the shower?  Did the wrapping paper match any other gifts or was it different?  I know if both my mother and I are invited to the same event, but for some reason one of us is unable to attend (work, illness, etc.), we'll send the gift with the other person.  Is it possible someone could have sent along their gift with someone who did attend the shower?

    Otherwise, I'd just start asking around.  Maybe make an educated guess based on the list of who gave what and start there.  Was there anyone you had marked down for a smaller item that could have been part of that theme?  I find that most people tend to go with a bit of a theme if they are buying multiple items for the gift.  So something that maybe would fit the "appetizer/entertaining/holiday" theme since most people don't bust out a lazy susan and app plates for everyday dining?  Or ask whoever hosted the party and was greeting your guests to see if they remember who came in with that wrapping paper.

    I haven't heard of one with them.  Even if they did there is guarantee if they even told BBB they got the gift off your registry.  


    If I buy something online it's automatically tagged.   I've been known to look online at the registry and then go in the store and just buy the gift.  Forgetting to tell BBB to remove it from the list.  Yep, I'm the annoying person.    

    Also depending on the gift, they could have gotten it somewhere else.







    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

    They've been tagged as purchased, but I can't find by whom. I've done that too!

    There were a few gifts from people who were unable to attend that my mom and sisters brought for me to open, but these weren't part of them, or at least they didn't think so. They were wrapped in the BBB wrapping paper and the only thing I could think of is that maybe someone who'd gotten the French press could have gotten those too for entertaining...but the French press is a substantial gift by itself. Clearly, some more sleuthing is in order...

    And depending on the kind of week I've had, I could definitely see myself busting out the fancy serveware for everyday dining :)

    The lack of one helped to keep me from probably hurting a friendship on impulse.
    A close family member to be bought a generous item in bulk years ago for future weddings. I thought they were excited about us receiving one because we borrow their from time to time, when we got engaged, not that it had already been genrously bought, so I feel bad for misinterpreting that conversation. After I opened the registry, learned I really am to receive one of the generous gifts. I go to mark it purchased, and see it has been bought. Later I ask that family member if they called CS at BBB, and they hadn't. The family member noted it's okay to exchange their's if it's allowed (being bought many years ago). The lack of a thank you list has slowed me down enough remember it's best, to accept gifts even if they are duplicates. Then worry about settling duplicates, at a later date. When it comes to recieving time, the family is pretty active/helpful in tracking whom gives what gift to ensure accurate TY's.
