How Many Times Are You Changing Hotels, If At All?

I'm just curious, how many hotels are you planning on staying in during your LV stay?  I've read a umber of posts where brides are planning on trying different hotels during their stay.  We're up to four:  one will be for FH and the bachelor party and then one at Aria (our free night) and then MB for the reception.  I had planned on returning to Aria, but Cosmo is way cheaper, so I'm thinking about staying there.  Since we are driving, we can load up the car and move at will, so while it will be a pain, I like the idea of trying out several hotels.

Anyone have any thoughts?

We will just be in 1 hotel, but will have 2 rooms - a suite for events and ceremony and a regular room for the rest of the week.

We'll be staying at aria one night for our free night then going to vdara because the big suites are so much cheaper there! Plus since our wedding is at aria, we'll take pics at vdara so no one sees us

Just one. We're only going for three nights and had the budget for the suite we wanted for the whole stay. We're not having a hotel ceremony or in-suite reception, so that wasn't a factor either, and we're not using comps or anything.

We've been to Vegas a few times so we didn't feel like we had to try out different places this time. This trip will be hectic enough, I think, without checking in and out of different hotels.

aggiespartan We are forced to do that at MB.  We have the hospitality suite and there is no sleeping area.  I thought about getting the actual sleeping room at the Delano, but I thought it would be better to be close to the suite (adjoining, actually).   I did have my heart set on spending most nights at Aria, but the price really jumps that next week.  For some reason, Cosmo is much cheaper - like $600 cheaper for same number of nights. There's still a chance that I could get upgraded at either hotel, but I'm liking the idea of us having a little kitchenette while we are there.  Vdara has similar type rooms for cheap, but FH smokes and I love that if we are bored, we can just head downstairs to a casino.

Rosebubbly  That was my original concern.  That's why I sent through so much stress when we decided to move the reception to MB.  I knew I didn't want to spend a whole week there.  Then I thought, we were going to change a bunch of times anyway, so...

amelisha  Oh, if we weren't staying a whole week, I totally would have picked one place and stayed too.  We've not been to LV together yet, and I am a design geek.  I hope it doesn't drive us crazy though.

@Ndelible‌ you can still smoke downstairs outside at vdara though right?! We've got some smokers in our group too.
We wouldn't have done it except we wanted to host a meet and greet on Friday. In order to do that we needed a big suite, thus vdara.
If our guest list comes in smaller, we may still stay at aria the whole time.

@Rosebubbly  I thought I understood that it's a non-smoking property - meaning no smoking anywhere.  We never stay in smoking rooms when we are at hotels, and with a casino I know any smokers can just go down to the casino to take a puff.

I love the look of Vdara and the price, but that was a deal breaker for us staying there at any time.

Hmmmm I will have to look into that further because that'll be a deal breaker for us.

@Rosebubbly please report back, because if I am wrong, I will seriously consider staying there!

@ndelible for what it's worth, the $20 trick has worked every time for us at Cosmo to get an upgrade.  I've heard it doesn't work at Aria unless you have an event (like a wedding) happening.  We are going to try to get our regular room upgraded at Aria though.

Just called @Ndelible‌ vdara has designated outdoor smoking areas

Thanks @Rosebubbly.  I'll check with FH.  We'll be there in January - good chance of rain, so he'll decide

Changing hotels once. Staying at Aria but renting a Cosmo suite for one night for the ceremony.

One hotel for 5 nights, Aria, but changing rooms twice, regular/suite/regular. Really hoping we can get upgraded for our last night to stay in the suite and not move to a regular room again.

Thanks everyone.  I'm still checking, as the pricing seems to be changing quickly.  The Cosmo is not as budget friendly as I thought, but I still have a couple of avenues to explore before I decide.  If it's not a significant savings, then we will stay at Aria for the balance of the trip.

We are staying the whole week at the Flamingo... but also have 2 nights booked at the Cosmo (wrap around suite) for the wedding after party. Hubby will prob stay there the night before the wedding and we will stay there the night of the wedding - but keeping Flamingo suite cause us girls need it to get ready in for the wedding. I was originally going from standard room to a suite at the Flamingo.. but the VIP lady offered me a cheap upgrade to change our 3 nights in the room to the suite... so now we are in the suite the whole time - which makes thing easier!

@AustralianSam- Which suite are you staying at in the Flamingo?

We are planning to stay the whole time at the Flamingo and will stay in a regular room the first 2 nights and then the suite the last 2 nights.

@hmgiffor - only a Go mini suite... I thought it would be bigger... but after looking on youtube.. I don't think its that big. It will do.

Im going to drop the "we are here for our wedding, and all our guests are staying here" line at check-in and hope for a magical upgrade to at lease a Neapolitan suite - fingers crossed I get a nice, romantic desk clerk!

2 nights at MB vista suite then maybe the Tropicana for the rest of the time.  It is near by and not as pricey as MB.

Thanks! I'll have to check out YouTube to see the rooms.
