99 Days To Go!

OMG! I am so happy to say I am a member of the double digit countdown club!!!! 99 days to go. Wow!

A little story:

FI and I got engaged March 10th 2013 (I had to double check there....) and I joined TK a couple of days later to set up a planning checklist. I inputted all my info and the countdown read 599 days. I remember thinking that was forever away! 500 days have vanished since then.

Just for fun, I found a date counter and plugged in how many days FI and I have been together in total, including today from the day we made it "official": 3,227 days. So I suppose 99 days isn't too long to wait to marry my love

I haven't checked my day count lately, you inspired me to check and we're 109 days out. CRAZY. Our engagement will be about a year long but it seemed like forever at the beginning.

It just hit me yesterday that I'm in the "3 month and X days" now. I feel like there's so much left to do but the majority of it can't be done until we get a head count.

I am so busy with work that 20 days slipped through my fingers. Yikes.

91 days....

BUT... I checked today and it's 95 days til we leave on our honeymoon which I am SO excited for. Obviously I'm excited to get married and have our wedding and see our friends and family.. but the payoff for all the hard work is going to be seven days on a beach, which is sooo nice.

I am an assessor by trade. I audit things. I was meeting a manager in my company and we went out to lunch. She didn't want to talk shop anymore (fine by me! I hate talking about work at lunch!) and asked when I was getting married. Then it hit me. TWO AND A HALF MONTHS. I am so cool with that!

Countdown check in!

I am 27 days out. I just told FI that there are only 3 Sundays left until the big day. My ticker is now counting down in weeks instead of months.

I had my bridesmaid lunch this past weekend so my three bridesmaids could meet. I also invited my FMIL and my mother. It was a lot of fun!

This month has a lot to keep me busy:

- Canadian Thanksgiving is this weekend. I am seeing FI's family this Sunday (my parents get Christmas this year, it trades off every year)

- FI's brother turns 16 so we go see them AGAIN the next sunday (or the Sunday after, can't remember). I'm getting In-Law Overload. I see them more than my own family and I'm starting to resent it.

- I have to go to my hometown to get my dress. That pretty much takes up an entire Saturday because I want to spend time with my dad, mom, and hopefully my brother. That will probably happen Oct 17 or 24.

- Nov 1 is the hotel check in and casual sandwich luncheon. Yup, the sandwich thing is at the In-Laws.

39 days for us. OMG.

So, all of our balances are basically due 10/14. Paying the honeymoon off today (43 days til that haha) which is huge and amazing.

I have a dress appt on 10/25 which will basically be a final fitting unless anything crazy happens between then and the wedding date.

Shower this Saturday! And next Saturday! We have lots of family in both AZ and CA, his parents are in CA so they offered to throw us a super casual co-ed bbq type shower, very excited for that.

Geez what else. We're having s'mores as favors at the wedding, so I have to assemble those as well as finish centerpieces and random little decorations. Then I think that's it.

My dad said on the phone the other day that he's starting to get nervous LOL. I said I was too busy to think about being nervous, but now that it's 39 days only I do feel a little flutters.

39 days here, too.____________________________ I had my first fitting on Saturday and the tailor thinks that might be the only fitting I need. I'll find out next Saturday. I have to make our favors next weekend (chocolate dipped Oreos) next Sunday.___________________________ Shower TY's went out this morning (shower was on the 27th).______________________ I have a few DIY's to finish up: Escort cards (already written out, I just have to add the table number once I have all of the responses and assign everyone a table) Seating chart (waiting on some responses still) Guest book- I have to glue down the balloons that people will sign onto the canvas (that's tonight's project I think) Card box- FI has to glue/ nail/ otherwise attach the picture frames to each other (as soon as I stop procrastinating and order the pictures that should go in the frames- add that to tonight's to-do's). Ring bearer pillow- I'll add the ribbon to it tonight. Signs for the bathroom baskets Programs________________________ I'm e-mailing a list of music to the DJ today (he's telling me I'm super early and have plenty of time but seriously, let me cross it off of the list now).________________________________ We also have to find a sweater for DH's daughter, shoes for his daughter and his son, and I have honeymoon shopping to do. I would like to find something (I'll know it when I see it) to put on the bar at cocktail hour to jazz it up a little. _______________________ Where is the time going???!!! ETA: paragraphs. TK eats them.

40 days to go...I'm actually scared thinking I'm getting married...we've been together for 6 years and engaged for most of that time so this shouldn't be scary but it is. I had a horrible divorce before so that's probably holding me.

any who all we have to do is get together the money for dinner and we'll be set. We may need to buy our daughter a dress since the little munchkin is growing a lot faster then expected but that should be all.

38 days to go!

Today one of our groups (I work at a golf course) surprised my co-worker (getting married in March) and I with cake and a generous check at their end of season luncheon. They are all so sweet, and were loving getting all of the details about our weddings, and told us about theirs (one woman has been married for 75 YEARS!) I was really moved, and now I'm on a sugar high because I ate waaaayyyy too much cake.

I just got an e-mail from our DoC with all of our banquet info that FI and I need to go over. My venue (my DoC comes with my venue) has been AWESOME, but I feel like with all of my vendors it's been, "we don't have to do that until X time, no worries!" .. Now it is time and everyone wants info from me!!!

I am going to see my sister/MOH this weekend, and I'm really hoping that she will come along with me to pick out a hair piece, GM ties, and maybe some BM jewelry (not their gift).

I just found a reading that I really like, that is super fitting for us, so I think that I'm going to use that to inspire me to start writing the ceremony tonight.
