Need help -- Looking for location with guest houses/bungalows

Hello fellow knotties,

I need help finding the type of location that my fiance and I want.

We are looking for a ceremony and reception venue that has on-site guest houses/bungalows. I know there are many that exist in the Houston and surrounding areas. I found one near FM 2920. I'm trying to find more so we can look at different options.

Does anyone know of any? Or maybe any good websites to help better narrow my search?

Thank you! :-)

  • I'm not sure if they are quite "bungalows" but Northwest Forest Convention Center (on Telge off 290) has lots of diverse event spaces and on-site lodging- I think the rooms are more like cabins but I have never seen the rooms!

  • I've heard of that place! Oh how awesome! That is right near me! Thank you so much! :-)

  • I stayed in one of the "rooms" at Northwest Forest for a wedding and I thought it was terrific.  So cenvenient and nice.
  • Hi, I was a bridesmaid in a wedding at the Northwest Forest Conference Center and I would recommend it 100%. We actually stayed on the grounds in the Las Flores building and it was a very comfortable stay. The bridal suite was in the Sam Houston cabin and was absolutely wonderful.

I would definitely recommend and feel free to ask if you have any questions about my experience.
And now we are as one

    Hi Mina and PJS001,

Yeah I've looked at the Northwest Forest website several times and I'm interested in going to look at the place.
My fiance, however, is being really picky on the choice of venue. I told him about Northwest Forest and he liked it at first, but then when he realized this place has several buildings he didn't really like it anymore.
He doesn't like the idea that there would be several events going on at the same time as our wedding.

Could either of you verify whether or not Northwest Forest holds more than 1 event in the same night?
On their website it shows that they have several different buildings on the property where they can hold conferences and business events as well as weddings and parties.

    Thanks for your help/input! <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />
