Nevada stated they will start issuing licenses to gay couples tomorrow.

We've had LGBT Knotties on the board in the past, but they could only have a "commitment ceremony". I'm so, so glad they can finally have a legal marriage ceremony.

Yay! My wedding is in April and I've got a Google news alert set up for this, but was surprised this morning when I loaded facebook and our photographer had posted this news story. I was at my work and had to fight back tears. I'm so so happy that on April 9th, my girlfriend and I get to legally marry and will have a piece of paper to prove it. Totally delighted and shocked.

I'm really happy this decision came down, I just hope it ends these endless stupid appeals by the states. It pains me to vote each cycle in our antiquated two party system because unfortunately the politicians I tend to vote for, for other reasons, are also the idiots who tend to be the ones pushing this form of discrimination.

My partner and I are going to celebrate our 25th anniversary as a couple by getting married. I'm very excited, but am completely overwhelmed by our miniscule budget and all this wedding planning stuff.
