Today is my last day at work and my last day on TK until after the wedding. I am going to return a married woman! (and probably SaraWifeNow if TK will let me).
Thank you all so much for all the advice, listening, laughs, etc the last several months. I heart you!
So, last minute jitters/anxiety are record breaking this morning. I haven't slept in three days. Tonight I pick up FBIL and FSIL from the airport and the rest of our OOT guests arrive tomorrow. Any last minute advice for calming down/decompressing?
I will be around today and then will update as soon as I am back.
Re: I'm leaving you guys.
I recommend taking an hour or two for yourself every day. Drink a glass of wine, watch a movie. Nothing wedding related during this time.
I'm the fuck out.
Awwww you all are the best. FI is "sneaking over" to my mom's tonight to hang out with me before we pick up FILs. I haven't seen him in three days and I am not entirely sure I won't jump him on the spot.
Best of luck and congrats!
Congrats! Relax and enjoy!
My best advice is to tell yourself that it is okay to let the little things go. I was stressing like crazy over little details, then got to a point where I just decided that they really weren't important to having an awesome wedding. Decorations, favors, things like that... you probably won't even notice on your big day. And your guests won't notice if those things aren't perfect either. I stressed on getting our songs together for the DJ... he screwed them up anyway. I stressed over my bouquets not being exactly right, so I changed to something much simpler at the last minute, and they were perfect.
As long as you have your groom, your VIP's, and the big items in place, everything will be perfect (even if it's not), so don't over stress on the details. Don't forget to take a lot of mental snapshots to remember. And just live in the moment and enjoy the day.
Oh, and get someone (your photographer or a guest) to take a photo of the grooms face when you enter. I asked my brother to do that for me and it's one of my favorite pictures. Everyone was looking at me, but I remember the look and glow on my husbands face. And I'm glad I have an actual photograph showing that amazed look.
