When are you ladies having your bridal showers and bachelorette parties??

My sisters are starting to plan my shower and while I initially thought end of January would work, my mom is pushing for end of February or early March. Our wedding is 3/28 so I worry that's cutting it a little close but I guess we will see..

Bachelorette party is February 14-16! Girls trip to Disneyland :)

    I live in Orlando and my wedding and all family is in Miami so we are having the shower and Bachelorette in one weekend on Feb 7, a month before the wedding. Saturday afternoon will be for the shower and the bachelorette will be later that evening is what I was told.

    My step mom and sister/MOH is planning the shower, and I was told a month out is fine? I have no idea who soon these things are supposed to be

    My wedding is 3/14 and my girls decided Shower would be 1/11, bachelorette weekend 2/14!

    I think 2-3 months out for showers.

    I read on the knot that the shower is anywhere from six months to just before the wedding.  I am hoping I don't have either one.  I will see what my family decides to do. I just hope it is sooner rather than later.

    starfish411 if you don't want one you don't have to! My sister didn't want a shower even though I wanted to host it for her. She gracefully declined and I kept my money :)

    My wedding is March 15, 2015. My bridal shower is January 31st and the bachelorette party will most likely fall on Friday March 13 (Friday the 13th haha).

    How did you get that adorable countdown at the end of your post tcnoble?

    My bridal shower is in January and my bachelorette party is in February.  Our wedding is on Pi Day (3/14/15).  So excited!

    We're getting married on March 15. My mom decided rather than a bridal shower that they will be hosting a "wedding shower" so that my dad can bring his girlfriend to meet the family before the wedding without their being a lot of pressure like there would be at a small dinner. We'll be doing that in late January I believe. My maid of honor is hosting my bachelorette party on January 2. I'd prefer it to be later in January, but my fsil flies back to school on the 3rd.

    I'm confused. What's a "Wedding Shower"? Why can't bridal showers be co-ed?
