Dh got me a present!

DH came home from work on Friday and announced that he got me a present. . . . It was a little handgun.  I think I correctly informed him that it was a gift for himself, because the 2 handguns he already has are bulky and hard to carry discreetly (he works with large quantities of cash in areas frequented by gang members, so he carrys regularly).  He told me he was going to get me another gift. . . . my programmable crockpot with a warming feature and meat probe arrives today!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Dh got me a present!

  • I love crockpots.  My mother made a roast beef on saturday with one and it was so delicious!  I love crock pot stew ^_^

I'm Canadian, so we really only carry guns for hunting and stuff and mostly rifles and crossbows and I admit I find handguns terrifying.

I'm from so far north in Michigan that it's like lil' Canada. I have to say that I feel you on the fact that rifles, shotguns, bows and other huge weapons aren't scary. I have my own hunting rifle and I don't think twice about it.  A little handgun freaks me out too.

I think it's because big guns are used on animals, and little guns are used on people. Ugh.

  • i've been using old style crockpots forever, but they can be tough in terms of timing.  i'm excited to leave in the morning but have it go on a few hours later.

New recipes welcome, especially healthy ones!

  • I'm Canadian as well.  We have a variety of firearms, ranging from handguns to hunting rifles and shotguns.  We aren't allowed to carry handguns (restricted firearms), but I like knowing that I own one anyways.

Firearms are to be respected, absolutely, but are nothing to be feared.
