Long story short... My DH and I got married last Friday at my favorite beach.
I fit no molds as to a traditional encore bride. Processional was Crystal Palace by Oystein Sevag, had both sides of the family walk down the aisle, perfectly synced to the music, followed by my "adopted son" who handled our "baby" dog, did a hand fasting ceremony where each family member picked a color to be braided into the hand fasting cords. Oh, ceremony was a public beach in Rhode Island and the facility already had aisles to the sand
. :-)
My dress was ordered from China and needed minor alterations. It was fabulous and I designed and created my drape veil that came off a tiara... the drape accentuated the drape that framed my hair as well.
I created silk flower bouquets.
It was informal, small and a perfect October day to be married on a beach... Only rules were to be comfortable.
Reception was back at our house...no photographer hired as friends and coworkers captured the moment from different perspectives.
Life is extraordinary!
