If I have Dominican hair, which wedding hair stylist I should go to?

My hair texture is very thick and curly.  Basically, it's typical Dominican hair (naturally curly, sometimes kinky hair).  The problem is every Dominican salon in my area can not do a proper wedding hairstyle.  And if they do, it's something stuck in the 1990s or appropriate for prom.  I'm worried that if I go to a salon that doesn't specialize in different texture, they won't know what to do even if I wash it the day before.  My blow dry abilities are horrible, always leaving my hair as an afro puff without the flat iron.

This is why a hair trial is always recommended, no matter your hair type. Read reviews and look at photos of wedding styles from some salons in your area, go in for a trial (you'll have to pay for this, though there's often a discount if you end up booking them for your wedding), and see how it turns out. If it's terrible, you have time to find another place. I'm sure there is a stylist at a non-specialist salon who's dealt with texture before.

People often schedule their hair trial for the day of their engagement photos, bridal shower or bachelorette party so they can get some use out of their fancy hair.

    Good luck!
