DH just got home from helping a friend. Came in and asked when I put Nightwish (Finnish symphonic metal) CD in his car. Erm, I haven't unpacked the CD yet, I swear. I have it on my phone and iPod. Plus, it's girly music and I don't ever listen to it in his car. So yeah. Figured we'd go with what Grace suggested. It's Lappi Pt IV if you want to pull it up, I can pull vocals out crazy easy tomorrow.
My husband used an Apocalyptica song (Nothing Else Matters) for his/the groomsmen's processional. Honestly, I wasn't crazy about the song - too morose for my liking. But his processional, his choice.
Re: Recessional songs - need votes on which one!
Thobbe - one of the current guitarists for Sabaton. Sabaton is Swedish metal.
Turisas (since I mentioned them earlier) - Finnish folk metal with a violin for solos.
Children of Bodom - Finnish metal, Alexi Laiho is one of the better metal guitarists.
Apocalyptica gets some US airplay. No more obscure than Within Temptation.
Sabaton and Turisas are obscure in the US usually. I don't know on CoB, people know them in my area.
