Does this veil match my dress? Or should I just go veil-less?

I wasn't going to wear a veil...now I'm thinking that I will (one of those once-in-a-lifetime things and all that...). I'm sort of lost with what to get though. I'm wearing drop pearl/sparkly earrings, a pearl/sparkly hair clip to wear in my chignon at the back of my head, and I have a blinged out jewelry bouquet, so I'm thinking of something understated for the veil.

Thoughts? (dress and veil attached)

I don't think the styles complement each other. That veil would go better with a more retro style dress, and your gown is very fairytale princess. (Is that a Disney dress?) I don't think a veil would look right with the sleeves, so I'd go veil-less, personally. But that's definitely a "once in a lifetime" kind of dress so you shouldn't feel slighted by not wearing a veil!

I agree that the veil would not go with that dress at all!  If you really want a veil, I think you could get a longer one that it attached under your hair in the back and just flows down the backside of the dress...anything over the shoulders/in front won't work and the short kind you posted doesn't really look right either.

    Some examples:

  • I'm agreeing with the ladies. I think the short veil doesn't look like it would quite go with the dress (which is awesome by the way). I'd do either a long veil or no veil.
