  I am now married but also a Madison bride:) We looked at the Monona Terrace but ended up not going with it.
  
  I did not like my Florist...still need to write a review. We used Floral Designs by Paul. They did not listen to the few things I knew I wanted but they were things that only I could tell. I was going to go with Felly's, because that is where DH always goes to get me flowers, but when I went in there, they gave me the card for the wedding consultent and told me to call and make an appointment. I am still not sure why I had to call and they couldn't make the appointment for me....the consulted was standing 10 feet away.
  
  When it comes to DJ's, I believe we have some good reviews on the WI Knottie side, the link is in my siggy.

  I'm getting married at Lake Windsor Golf Club (just outside of Madison) on August 18.  Monona Terrace was an option that we strongly considered, but we decided on Lake Windsor because we can do an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception.  We are going with Edge DJ and they have been very helpful so far.  Of course, we haven't had the wedding yet, so that's all that I can recommend.

  I got married on the roof of the Monona Terrace and had our reception there too.  If you book both your wedding and reception there they give you the rain back-up location for free.  

  
  

  The Monona Terrace did a great job, I was very happy with them.  They did lots of nice things like have a water station and the staff was very helpful and professional on the day of.  I was a little dissapointed at the food tasting, but we ended up with a great meal.  

  
  

  www.mikemillerdj.com was our DJ and he was amazing.  He is totally insane when you meet him in person, but extremely organized, professional, and really keeps the party going.  

  
  

  I did our flowers by ordering in bulk online, so I am no help there.  

  
  

  I used Carl's Cakes for our cake and it was to die for.  His frosting is fantastic!  His prices are reasonable compared to other local bakeries too.

  Thanks for the suggestions ladies! I didn't realize we had our own website, thanks for pointing it out for me beckster.
  
  We looked into the Lake Windsor Golf Club too, it is incredibly gorgeous. But we weren't sure if we would have enough time to do it there and get the downtown pictures we wanted (in front of the capital, James Madison Park).
  
  One of FI's sister is a baker, so she might make our cake for us. It's still a long way out though, things may change.

  I used Capital Sound DJs (Kevin Thomas) and would highly recommend them.  They'll work your whole reception for one fee (you don't have to pay by the hour) which was important to me because we didn't have a set end time (had our venue to 2am).  I don't remember the exact price, but it was under my $1,000 budget.  I liked them because they blended into the background and simply played the music we asked.  They didn't do much for talking/games.  I get easily annoyed by DJs that ramble on or have a flashy/distracting signs or decorations. 
  
  For flowers I'd recommend Alluring Blooms.  It's just Amanda and her husband, so the fees were very reasonable.  I had a small wedding party, but was able to get everything I wanted for between $400 and $500.  She was my favorite vendor to work. She was  prompt, honest, trustworthy, and had a great work ethic.
  
  I got cupcakes from La Brioche (on University Ave).  Went there for a cake tasting and was unimpressed with their cakes (thought most were dry) but were blown away my their cupcakes.  Super moist and beautiful.  And amazing prices. I mean, $2 each for a huge cupcake; I would have paid double that for how good they were (we did double chocolate, peanut butter, and cafe au lait flavors).  The one cake flavor we did like was lemon poppy seed, so we ordered a small cake to cut for ~$30.  They delivered for a small fee (~$30) and set up everything on a cupcake tower that they provided at no additional cost.
