  Free either equals to good to be true, or just bad and vendors usually do this 'free' promotion to just get as many leads as possible....if they were so good why would they be giving it away?

  I don't really agree...the photography company I work for is called Coast Highway Photography in Solana Beach and once in a while we offer free wedding photography because we are good people and know there are people out there who deserve it (and also because we CAN). We are part of a contest in Solana Beach here is a link: http://www.sandiegoweddings.com/odds-and-ends/wedding-by-cedros-contest/ . All the local vendors are donating incredible prizes to a lucky couple who works hard to win and has a wonderful story and deserves it. Sure "FREE" always draws attention to the parties included and hopefully the bride and groom will love the images we provide them with and tell their friends but all that is just bonus! You can check out www.coasthighwayphoto.com , I assure you the photographer is not a BAD photographer and he has won MANY awards for his work....the prizes aren't too good to be true they are very real! I can agree with you that there are some bad photographers out there though who just want as many clients as possible! Hope you find what you are after...take care!
