Accent Color?

Should I add a darker/brighter accent color? If so, what color? We are getting married 10-10-2015 in a historic brick building. Our colors are Gray and Champagne with white flowers. We are having a mix between wood and rhinestone elements. My idea is rustic elegant. I'd love to hear your ideas.

  • I mean, the pictures look fine and I don't feel like anything is missing visually. How would an "accent color" be different from just your regular "color"? Doesn't it become a wedding color by you actively choosing to use it?
  • Yes I guess it would be a wedding color, it would just be used sparingly. I have been having a hard time deciding if there needed to be some contrast in color. Like you mentioned, I am worried that it may look like it was missing something.
  • Grey, champagne, and white are neutral colors. Are you looking for a color that will pop or another color that will blend in? You could use many colors with the grey/champagne/white combination. Light pink is very pretty against grey.

  • I love the teal with those colors!

  • I had this same issue. I only had one color - gold. Everyone kept asking me for my other color. My answer was always just "other shades of gold." Worked out just fine. (But my florist would probably tell you our colors were gold, rose gold, champagne, and white. Meh. To me, it was just gold + neutrals.)
  • I'd let it be.  It's natural and harmonious as is.  In the first photo, I'd like that venue better without the teal sashes.
  • looks good to me. maybe add a light pink or something but you doesnt really need anything else.

  • I think the colors are pretty on their own, but I love the greenery in the second photo to add a bit of color. Go with what you like!
  • Use more interesting candles - perhaps glass with lace and add an accent color ribbon like peach, pink, yellow or light blue.  Little touches like ribbon do make a difference.  You could also add silky petals or add a ribbon on each edge of the runner.  Alternatively, you could use a pastel colored lace instead of ivory lace or a thinner colored lace along with the ivory.

  • I think it looks great as is, but if you want a little color keep it light like a pastel.
    Beautiful.

  • I think it looks beautiful, as is!
  • I think it looks beautiful!! I have an accent colour for mine - black and white with red accent - but that was chosen because of shoes. It works perfectly with us.

Seeing other people's post, that teal or mint green would look lovely also.
