While my ringbearer didn't do this during the rehearsal(wouldn't go down at all during the run through but went down after while we were milling around the church. Practiced with at tissue box), he did throw a normal pillow when asked to show me how he was going down the aisle.
I really didn't care what he did the day of so if he did throw the pillow oh well. Not to mention we used fake rings tied onto the pillows just in case

At my FI's sister's wedding the ringbearer girl walked down the aisle with the plastic rings in her teeth, the pillow bobbing against her chin.

My ring bearer had practiced saying "you better treat my Lolo right!" to H but got nervous the day of. Then didn't remember which person to give the pillow to once they were all dressed alike so he tried H first, then the GM on the opposite end, then all the other GM before giving the best man.

Also our flower girl forgot to scatter her petals... til the receiving line when she tugged on my dress and said "look, I did it!" They were dumped all over the floor at the back of the ceremony space.
