Divorces and Ceremony Details

I don't have to tackle this for awhile, but I've been wondering how to handle this.

My grandparents are all deceased, as is my fiancé's paternal grandparents. So, only one grandfather. He is divorced and re-married (over 20 years). New wife has his last name. Grandma kept her married name and is not remarried or dating. Also, never got over the divorce, but that's a whole 'nother thing.

His parents are also divorced, neither are remarried or dating so will not have dates or an escort to the wedding. His mom also kept her married name. (She also is super immature about their divorce...)

1) How do I word this on the program to make it clear that they are divorced?

I'm thinking: (grandparents)

Mr. John and Mary Brown

Ms. Susan Brown

(parents)

Mr. Frank Smith

Ms. Lucy Smith


2) Who should escort his grandmother, father, and mother down the aisle so no one is uncomfortable?

    Mr. John and Mary Brown Mr. and Mrs. John Brown or Mrs. Mary Brown and Mr. John Brown (Don't separate the guy's first name from his last name for some reason that I'm not too sure about but read here so it must be true ;)

    Could he escort his mom and grandma together, with one on each arm?  Not sure about the dad...seems weird for a guy to have an escort (I can't even say that without thinking of the other type of escort), but hopefully someone else will chime in for you!

    1.  It is no one's business who is divorced.  You need only list people's names properly.

    Ms. Susan Brown  (Ask her how she would like her name to be listed.)

    Mr. and Mrs. John Brown

    (parents)

    Ms. Lucy Smith

    Mr. Frank Smith

    2.  Ask you grandmother and your mother whom they would like to escort them.  I chose my son.  If there is no one special, an usher can do the job.  Your mother is seated LAST.
