Wedding Woes

Wednesday stuff

- M2 did a project at preschool that involved gluing popcorn to construction paper.  While my back was turned Max ate the popcorn.  Today we're watching a movie and making popcorn to redo it.  (please note this is not the first time he's eaten stuff off her art)

- This new job is working great.  Boss emails me a bunch of stuff after his family time at night.  I take care of it when I first get up in the morning and it's waiting when he gets to the office.  It's easy work and covers groceries so we can save more to hit Disney.

- I'm helping plan an event tomorrow night.  Last year it was 80 women.  We currently have CONFIRMED 150 people and there were walkins last year.  I'm excited but nervous.  It should be a good night though.

Re: Wednesday stuff

  • Oh Max! LOL   Things sound like they're going really well, 6.  I'm so happy for you.

It feels like it should be much later in the week.  This week also seems extra long since DH and I have to work Saturday.

I think we have a good portion of Christmas figured out for the kids.  :D I found a Cozy Coupe gas pump...DefConn will l-o-v-e it.

I'm glad, because it leaves me more time to think of a theme for the gifts we're going to throw into the exchange at the IL's.  Their fave family Christmas movie is Chirstmas Vacation, so I think I may do that as a theme for one.  I'm not sure on the other...

My parents are keeping the kids so we can celebrate our anniversary on Saturday night.  There's a huge part of me that wants to get some sort of take out and stay in to catch up on Sons of Anarchy.  Maybe we'll go to the 'nice' restaurant up the street and then come home and have our SOA marathon...just so we can say we went out.  LOL
  • ded @ Max.  That kid.

We also have a lot of xmas stuff figured out for the kids.  And my siblings and I have figured out a present for my mom, which is awesome.  We always do a group present for each of my parents.

    My Wednesday things:

    - I have come to terms with having to grocery shop 2-3 times per week.  I have fought it for a good year but now I just accept it and do it.  I have no other choice.

    - I mentioned DH got a promotion and it changed his days off (from sun/tues to sun/mon).  Ever since his schedule change, I have been in a weird funk.  I just haven't gotten used to the change in routine or something.

    - I'm really ready to put up xmas decorations.  I'm not usually so into it this early.  I won't do it, though.  I'll wait until the weekend after TG, as always.
  • Taw-I feel ya on the grocery runs.  I'm in the same boat.  I either forget stuff or we run out or whatever.  I was just thinking that I need to go to the store on lunch or before I pick up DefConn because we're low on milk and I need a couple other things.
  • We go to Sam's on Fridays and the grocery store on Sundays and I always need to run somewhere by Wed/Thurs.

Also, when we got our Sam's membership in May, we only intended to go there monthly.  ::sigh:: We go every week.
  • I go twice a week for produce and milk.
  • Hell, DH and I go to Sam's weekly just for us for veggies and um...alcohol.  They have great wine prices!  :D  We did let them talk us into the extended membership though.  It hasn't paid for itself, so I need to get our monies back on that before too much longer.

It is so.cold.  I am not ready for winter.  I'm also already ready for the end of this week.  I really need a break from work right now.
  • If you have HBOGO, you should totally be watching Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways.

Good music, Dave Grohl, lots of fun information (and trivia to crowd my brain).  It's just reinforcing my love for all things DG and Foo.
  • I have a Sam's card and rarely if ever go. I've gone about three times this year. The card is free because my Mom added me on. I get gas sometimes, though. I think I'm going to hit them up for work Christmas gifts this year.

  • I want to pick her up and snuggle her, PMeg.  I'm sure she'd fight me because she wants to get back to what she was doing before I interrupted her.

    She's darling.
  • Your DD is adorable, Pmeg.  I love her fluffy hair, no texture included.  :)

I am in the home stretch of my work week.  Still pumping the green tea, water, and bee pollen.  It can't hurt, right?

Tonight we're going to see interstellar and then pack tomorrow morning before heading to the airport at 10 am or so.  Though I'm sure H will insist on going at something silly like 9am.  We're a small airport, there is no reason to sit there for 2 hours.  NONE.  :-/

  • No, she'll snuggle. She'll come over and lay her head on my chest or shoulder for a few minutes then get back up to doing whatever she was doing. She is a daredevil though. I think she snuggles to refuel her desire to be a hellraiser. DH and I are just biding time before she knocks a tooth out, gets stitches, or breaks a bone. I have a feeling she's going to be a test pilot or a circus daredevil.
  • DK and I are trying to plan a trip for next year, for just the 2 of us. (My parents will fly down and housesit/babysit.) There's so many options, it's tough to narrow it down.

Right now, I think the frontrunner is going to be a cruise in Europe - there's about 7 different options we're considering. If we do a 7 night cruise, we'll go to the departure port a few days in advance to explore the city and then get on the ship. If we do the 12 night cruise, we'll fly in on departure day and fly home the day that we get back to port. I'm a little iffy about the 12 night options since we'll have ~4 cruising days, and i'm wondering if we'd be bored on the boat for that long. The positives of the 12 night cruises are we'd get to go explore a few more/different places. (One has a day in Morocco, and the other one spends 2 days in St. Petersburg). This will be our first overnight trip away from the kid since she was born/in the NICU, ~4 years ago - I really excited for the "adult" time. :-D
  • Friday will be three weeks until we go to Sweden again, and I CAN'T FUCKING WAIT.

Most of my life is work drama right now tbh.
