We got a new fancy pants bed that we looovvveee. It's a king, we both had shitty full sized beds we hated so the new fancy king is bringing much happiness. We are not small people and the two of us could not fit into a full together, not comfortably.
However, we do not having bedding for it! Right now we have a king sheet set we picked up, and then we each just have our regular comfortors on it. It's working for now, but I want something nice and grown up!
My problem is...I can't seem to find anything I like. It's either covered in flowers (not my style or his) or looks like it belongs in a teenager's room (and neither of us our teenagers). So I turn to the wise women on here to help me find something. Ideally something that comes in a set, isn't too boring (not all one solid color), or too busy (he nixed a tye-dyed on I found and ruled out animal print). I've checked BBB, Target, and Macys...and I can't find something I like. But I feel like I'm just not thinking of other places or maybe just flipping past something I'd really love. Help?

FI and I have this duvet cover for the winter months... http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/00189153/
...and we have a blue and white "flowery" Laura Ashley quilt for summer. (http://www.lnt.com/product/coverlets-quilts/10240-525127/bedford-blue-quilt-set.html)
I like being able to switch them up.
I saw a paisley one that I loved yesterday in Pier 1! I didn't realize they even sold bedding.
My sheets are the extra deep ones from Target because I didn't have to buy the whole set (we don't use a top sheet).
I do actually like having separate blankets though!
ETA: I love that a purple paisley duvet from Wayfair.com immediately appeared on my sidebar!
Here is the one from Pier 1
I'm the fuck out.
I love everything from West Elm. And it regularly goes on sale.
This is what is on my bed now. http://www.westelm.com/products/organic-ikat-stripe-sheet-set-b537/?pkey=csheet-sets&cm_src=sheet-sets||NoFacet-_-NoFacet-_--_-

It is grey and stone color with a red-orange accent. DH and I both compromised it and looovveee it. It fit both of our tastes. I like "neutral" beds with a pop of color, too.
They have really nice styles that are pretty gender neutral.
DH and I both have really simple, clean taste in home decor and this pretty without being frilly or OTT.

You said it ended up going well with the french provincial furniture, so that's what I was curious about!
It probably is an advantage to have light furniture - I have cherry floors, mahogany/cherry furniture, and my dark purple blanket and red black out curtains don't make for a terribly bright room. (Which works for FI since he sleeps in the day.)
