I never really had an "official" proposal per se. We just sort of talked about it and it was understood that we would get married. To keep everyone's mouth closed we said we just had a simple proposal over dinner one night. Well today The Dude got down on one knee and asked me. It was still simple but sweet and more or less for my Mom to witness who is dying for us to tie the knot.
So How?
Well he gave the wrapped ring box to my Mom to open. She had no idea what in the world she was opening. When she finally got to the ring box The Dude began to tell her how much he loved me and wanted me to share his life. He then told her he wanted to ask me to marry him and she said "do it Dude". LOL!
He then took the box and came over to me and got down on one knee, smiled, winked, and melted my heart (again) in his sexy baritone of a voice professing his love for me and asked me to be his wife. Now as long as I've known this man and all that we've been through why in the world was I nervous and giddy? Of course I said "yes Dude I'll marry you" and kissed him.
My brother was there and took pics of The Dude on one knee but hasn't sent them to me yet. Nonetheless here is my new "Beauty".
Love is the ultimate superpower.
It can make you weak and strong simultaneously.
