White Cliffs?

Has anyone had or been to a wedding at White Cliffs?  My fiance and I looked at the venue and fell in love with it - but I am concerned with the staff, they were not the friendliest during our visit and I am curious if anyone has any experience with them?

Despite it being at the end of FMIL's street, I havent even considered it (for some reason it reminds me of a nursing home - I have no clue why!). However, when I'm at home I work in a rugby club where we have a large function room. Our bar manager could be a little off-putting to potential clients, and so oftentimes people would come in on a few occasions just for a drink or to watch a game to get a better feel for the place (and the other staff, who like me are just plan awesome Innocent). I know nothing about White Cliffs, but would it be possible for you to pop in on a couple of other occasions, not as a potential White Cliffs bride, but just as someone looking for a quiet drink or a family meal perhaps? It may give you a better "feel".
    Good luck!

Hmm, on second thoughts (and post-google search) turns out there is more than one venue called White Cliffs. I doubt you mean the strange mansion in Northborough...

I was wondering that myself.  Are you referring to the central Mass venue or the country club in the Cape?

Sorry - I mean the White Cliffs Country Club in Plymouth.  I like the idea of casually checking it out, but you must be a member to go there

My future mother-in-law owns a condo at White Cliffs so I have been to the Club for dinner many many times. The food is pretty good, we looked into it for our wedding however it is pretty pricey for our budget so we ruled it out. The location is absolutely beautiful though. The golf course is pristine and the ocean views are fantastic! As for your concern with the employees, that is usually the case. The residents are horrible (my mother in law bought there for the views and golf but is now trying to sell because people that live there are stuck up and outright rude). I think having to deal with these people have made the staff pretty bad. Unfortunately, I have never been to a wedding there so I cant comment on that aspect of service. Hope this info helps, good luck finding a venue.

I went for a tour of White Cliffs a few months ago for a possible venue for our wedding. I thought the grounds were beautiful as well as the amazing view of Cape Cod Bay. However, although I made an appointment ahead of time and the function coordinator knew we were coming for a tour, I felt they were rather rude and didn't spend any time with us. She gave us a brochure and told us to feel free to walk around but she was busy planning a function and couldn't accompany us.  That along with the hefty price tag left a bad taste in my mouth and I knew it wasn't the place.  I have heard of people having their weddings there and having a great experience, but from my own experience I was not impressed with their service.
