just got engaged

I just got engaged on March 1st... my fiance for his birthday told me the best present he could have is if I would marry him....  I was taken back.. and of course I said Yes.


we havent set an exact date yet  we are looking at 2011 sometime..

where do we start??/

    Congrats! If you are looking at this year you need to get on it now, start with guest list and then venue.

    As PP said, if you want 2011 you need to start looking at venues ASAP.  Figure out your budget and hit the pavement!

    Congrats!!!!!!  Start with a guest list first, then think about how much money you have for your budget and then start looking at venues!!!  Have so much fun!!!!!

    Everyone is right, figure out how much you want to spend, get a fairly accurate estimation of the guest list and then start looking at venues. All the other vendors work around the venue and date so you'll want to get that squared away first.

    Congratulations!!! 
    You seem to have an idea of when you want to get married, next step is to look at wedding venues...My favorite one in the Hudson Valley is called Falkirk Estate and Country Club.  I picked it for my wedding this summer!  Definitely worth taking a look at..
