Looking for wording for a destination wedding

I need help with wording for the save the date (boarding pass template) and for the wedding website for a destination wedding. I have research several websites but just need additional help! Can someone help me?

Re: Looking for wording for a destination wedding

  • For our destination wedding, we didn't use any special wording. Just what pp said.

  • As long as you make sure to list the city/country on your save-the-date you should be fine.

As far as your website, do the same thing. List the location, and then try to offer extra info concerning hotels, airports nearby, etc. Whatever essential information you need to know to get from point A to point B on the right date and time, your guests will need to know too.

  • We didn't use any special wording for our DW STD's. Just who, what, where and when. Didn't see any reason to change something simple just because it was going to be out of the country.
  • What KatWag said.

I just attended a destination wedding and found the couple's website extremely helpful. Focus on making your website very thorough. This couple suggested several travel sites for cost comparison for flights and car rentals, they suggested a huge variety of activities to do while there, they were very clear as to what activities were hosted (like morning-after brunch), and they were very clear about transportation to and from the ceremony and reception. I don't think they missed a single potential question.  Then, the gift bags at the hotel contained a sheet of similar information.

I also used boarding passes for my STDs and invites so if you want to see or bounce any ideas around feel free to PM me.
