Re: argh, what the heck?!?!?

  • Hey, I got a phone call from Magical Plan It events saying the same thing about the cancellation, but they also told me that they would have the same deal, but u just have to sign a new contract with them.  Granted you can't use the money you paid to Groupon, but they basically told me to get a refund from Groupon and then sign a new contract with them for the same deal, except it is now $350, not $349.

Here is the phone number of the girl I spoke to: 1-888-765-2996 ext 104.  I told her I needed to get my money back from Groupon before I would sign another contract with them.  HTH

  • Achi, thank you. the issue that i'm nervous about is i didn't have a contract signed yet. i haven't been able to reach anyone there for a few weeks and i'm worried they will just say "sorry" but thank you for the info and i will keep trying to call them!
  • Don't trust this company - I had to deal with the Groupon mess as well. But, I filled out a new contract and paid them directly. They called me to confirm everything was ok and approved, and charged my card directly. Guess what - they NEVER SHOWED UP. To make things worse they never called to say they couldnt make it, or call to apologize that they were a no show.  I wouldn't trust any of my wedding planning through this company.  Had I known they would be a no show I would have just booked someone else, and because of them I had no photobooth at my wedding. Awful company.
  • I secured this company’s services approximately 1.5yrs in advance of my Wedding Date. Approximately 1yr later little to no progress was made for the event. Over the year, many promises were made & broken, repeatedly. There wasn't consistent correspondence; an address was changed and I wasn't notified, a phone number was changed and I wasn't notified, I had to send e-mails repeatedly to get any answers. I was & still am highly disappointed, and quite frankly heartbroken. Thus I submitted an official notice of cancellation. I requested my full amount invested, because the company did not meet the duties outlined in the agreement. After multiple requests for an expected receipt date & amount of the refund, I was finally contacted by the owner, who stated it would be 60 days from the written notice and the refund amount would be anything paid aside from the deposit. More than 60 days from the written cancellation notice, has come and passed, I still haven't received anything!
