Hello! We are currently planning a September wedding at the Frankenmuth Brewery, but we are having a difficult time finding a church to get married in (he's from Lansing, I'm from Detroit, so we aren't too familiar with the area). Our struggle is because he is Catholic, and I am not. I also have a friend who is a wedding minister, so we would like her to do the ceremony, but most churches I've contacted won't allow anyone else to perform the ceremony.
Does anyone have any advice? Or if you know of ANY churches in the Frankenmuth, Birch Run, Bridgeport, Clio, even Saginaw area, that would allow an outside officiant and a couple of mixed faiths.
