  i am a street size 22 in bottoms 18-20 22-24 in tops depending on the cut and style brand etc of clothing..

  
  

  i was able to fit into anywhere from a size 16-30 in sample gowns the 30s and 28s were big on me and needed to be cliped the 16s 18s 20s some 22s i got it but they were not able to zip lace up or button the ones that could zip button or lace they cliped to my body so i could get a feel for what it look liked

  
  

  my advice is call any and every salon near you ask them what size samples they have and will they be able to get you into any, any place that has one or two dresses skip if they have 10+ that you can try on hit them up. 

  
  

  davids was pushy the one time i ran in there just to browse she had me try on two dresses and wanted a sale most of there dresses are plain simple and seen way to many times 

  
  

  
  

  mori lees julietta line is for plus sizes 14-32 her gowns start at 500 and go up to 1500 her sample gowns start at 200 and up if you went to a sample sale

  Don't be afraid to try on gowns where you won't get the 'exact fit'.  Most gowns will need altering, so depending on what alterations are needed, you might not even see your dresses 'exact fit' until the final fitting.
  
  Call around and don't be afraid to ask if they can accommodate your size.  In all honesty, most of the shops I called had like a receptionist that didn't really know the inventory though.

  Second, don't worry about fitting into samples that much. The consultants will clip you closed, and you'll get a good idea of what the dresses will look like when you have them in the right size.  I'm a street size 16, and I tried dresses on from size 10-22.  If the dress is too small, they just won't close it all the way in the back.  

  
  

  You won't know the exact fit until after you buy a dress in the right size, and have it altered to your body.  Pretty much every dress requires alterations.  

  
  

  If you are limiting yourself to Davids Bridal dresses, you can wait until you are about 5-6 months out to shop. most of their gowns arrive in less than 2 months. If you are considering designer dresses, don't wait more than 7 months from your wedding date.   Some designers (Maggie Sotterro, among others) can take 5-9 months to arrive.
