Rainy Tuesday but it is PLL day!!

Since no one started a Tuesday thread, I just had to share my excitement for PLL Christmas special!!!

Also, on a completely different topic --- my house is almost done!!!! It is starting to look like a beautiful, modern house instead of the disgusting mess it was!!! Yay for a Christmas/New Years move!! Here's a picture of before and after of the dining and living rooms, to show the transformation (the living room has beautiful hard wood floors, they're just covered in dust right now)!!

I have never watched PLL, but I hear about it on this thread all the time, so I may binge watch some over the holidays as a start...although FI and I have a couple other shows on our list.

@swazzle - DID YOU WATCH HOMELAND??

Tonight FI and I are going to look at houses. We have 3 showings lined up and I'm trying to be optimistic. I'm a bit on edge about house hunting and have been trying to avoid getting really annoyed at FI about the whole house situation lately. Anyways, 3 houses that need work tonight...1 isn't bad looking from the outside, but I made a face at the other 2 lol we'll see!

I've never seen PLL, but if it's on Netflix I may binge watch over the holidays. I'm off from 12/19-1/4, sooooo lots of down time for Netflix.

The house looks great! It's really coming together nicely! I can't wait to see it when it's all finished and perfect.

On a WR note, FI has decided he really likes THIS song for our first dance. (anyone know how to embed the video here?)

The more I listen to it, the more I like it. The lyrics are cute, the beat is fun, and we could be our normal, goofy selves with it. He's not one to dance, but I think with some liquor and some glow sticks (plus all the adrenaline of getting married), we could make this really fun. There's a balcony area at the venue where I want to do our first dance, and I figured we could pass out glow sticks to everyone standing in the courtyard underneath and turn it into a dance party.

@alpacina Most of the series is on Netflix, I've been binge watching the first and second seasons looking for clues. I don't have cable either so Tuesdays I spend the night at my sister's house.

How do I describe the show.... It is a mystery show. There's a stalker/murderer who knows the 4 main characters darkest secrets and does everything to ruin their lives, but no one knows who that person is. The person goes by A and after the second season they revealed who A was, but now there is another A, and apparently it is someone that no one suspects.

The acting is not the best, but has improved over the seasons, but the reason it is so addicting is because every episode is a cliff hanger. Also because usually once someone is assumed to be A, something bad happens to them.

@lmcooper86 - keep an open mind! FI didn't like the looks of our house when I first showed it to him, and he loves it more than I do now.

@eilis1228 - I like that song!! FI & I were originally going to go with a Dave Matthews song (Snow Outside), but he's not a huge DMB fan (I'm obsessed). I heard a song off Jason Mraz's new album, and cried. Made him listen to it, and that's what we're going with. It's called "Best Friend" and it gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it.

Thanks everyone! I'm so excited that it's almost finished! It has been a long year, but sooo worth it. I'm still amazed the my bf has done everything by himself. I'll be sure to do more before and after pictures once everything is complete.

@GoldenPenguin - I know we're buying a house to tear apart and renovate, so I just really need FI to help me picture what he can turn it into. I'm great at knowing how I want a room to be laid out and decorated, but not so good at picturing what a hideous space could look like completely gutted and re-finished! I'm trying hard to keep an open mind, I really want us to find the right house for us.

@speakeasy14 - Ooooooh, I see. I could probably get really into a show like that. Although bad acting can turn me off of something pretty quickly. Then again, I can smoke a bowl and all of a sudden Ice T is my favorite actor on SVU. So there are ways to get around it! Haha

Ice T IS the best actor on SVU. He makes me laugh on the regular. hahaha

I don't watch PLL so I guess I can't contribute. I'm working from home today. I was planning to make spaghetti squash lasagna tonight but H has a work dinner so I think I'm just going to have leftovers instead. I really need to force myself to go to the gym for a little bit and do some weights. I got in cardio this morning with Cinders. Day 2 of Week 1 of C210K complete! Woo!

lmcooper86 I was the same way with our house! I didn't love it because it was a fixer upper, but seeing all the changes makes you fall in love.

@phira I was actually happy that there was finally action on OUAT; this season has been slacking.

@Phira please no spoilers! BF and I love OUAT and we haven't been able to watch it yet because I have been up working until midnight both Sunday and Monday with people in China

. Hoping to be able to watch it tonight, but I know I have to work with China again tonight too.

@speakeasy14 your house looks like it is coming along really well! I can't wait to see the final pictures.

I cannot wait until next Friday, when I get to take two weeks of vacation and travel back to NY and actually relax. Until then, I have so much to do for work. However, most of my work right now is at night, apart from some daytime meetings, so I will be Knotting a lot during the days and will not feel bad about it one bit

Man, is it Dec 19 yet? I just got a nose bleed in the office, and now I'm feeling lightheaded. It clotted pretty quickly, but ugh. So tired of my sinuses being my archenemy.

@speakeasy14 @AuroraRose41 Definitely won't spoil anything for you! I haven't been as happy with this season as I was with the last. I felt like season 1 was great, season 2 was mediocre in general but had some high points, and 3 was really awesome.

So far, season 4 has felt really rushed in terms of the main storyline, but simultaneously it feels like there's way too much filler. I've felt like the Arendelle backstory jumps around too much and is too convoluted, and the Storybrooke plots keep getting dropped and then picking themselves up later. It's just not consistent. And I kind of want to punch Robin Hood, so there's that too.

@AuroraRose41 Thank you! I normally get them in the morning or at night, so it's strange that it happened in the middle of the day. I may sneak out of work a few minutes early because of it... I feel incredibly worn out from it. :-\

@phira I completely agree with you that this season feels rushed and seems to focus a lot on the Arendelle story line. I actually have mistakenly said to BF a few times "There is a new episode of Frozen tonight!" because it is so focused on the Frozen characters and that's what my subconscious defaults to calling OUAT now apparently. He always gives me a really confused look until I realize that I meant OUAT.

@eilis1228 I know the feeling exactly. I actually did the same thing and left work early last Monday (week from yesterday) due to a bad one in the middle of the day. But I get them fairly frequently due to the bleeding disorder, especially when it's really cold out, so I am hoping they aren't too bad when I go back to NY for two weeks starting on the 19th.
