Wedding Woes

So it looks like *this* time Buffy's glasses aren't fixable

They got stepped on at school (again) today.

Her timing isn't  bad.
We still have her spares (which have the same 'script), and the doc said when we go back at the end of Jan, she'll need a new (weaker-YAY)  'script.

I'm actually impressed as hell that she had these for almost 2 years and they haven't been *permanently* broken until now (although they're pretty badly scuffed and  scratched up).

Re: So it looks like *this* time Buffy's glasses aren't fixable

  • I had glasses as a kid. My poor parents were constantly having to get them fixed or replaced. They finally bought me some of those horrendous sports glasses for playing sports because my glasses were perpetually getting smashed. I think we were all incredibly relieved when I got contacts at age 10. I wish we would have done it earlier. Sounds like your Buffy is an active girl who wears glasses and that just makes me happy to read (even while sympathizing with you for having to get them constantly fixed or replaced).
  • DD is notorious for being rough on glasses to the point that I just started to get her frames at Walmart (One main set, one set for when she loses/breaks that set, and one I can't believe I'm spending less than $50 on a set of glasses because she'd lose her darn nose if it weren't attached pair...)  I never was that rough on my glasses as a kid but totally feel your pain!!!
