LOVESHINE!

Totally NSFW, but BUTT STILLS of some Jax ass.  I'm in mourning that it will no longer be on my TV.

Re: LOVESHINE!

  • Ahh I'm going to miss that. Here's hoping he shows it again. Until then, there's always Netflix!

  • I think we're going to buy the complete series when it comes out.  :)

Did you watch the finale yet?
  • Yes - can we discuss? I think we're the only 2 that watch.

  • Yes.  We can.

I have to say that I only liked about 3-4 episodes this season.  And the last episode was was way, way too long.  I hate how it ended.

I just am sad beacuse the series really reached the crescendo with the end of last season and Tara's death.  I wish this last season could have been better.  Kurt Sutter is a fucking ego maniac.
  • For me it was a very sad ending, but I didn't see how else it could have. It was a Shakespearean tragedy, basically Hamlet. I didn't really see any other way out for Jax other than death.

He knew he had to kill Gemma, not only for killing Tara, but in order to break the cycle. JT didn't want Jax to be in the MC, but Gemma had been breeding him for the life since he was born and JT's death just cemented that he would become king one day. By killing Gemma, and then himself, he was able to break his kids free of the life. Hopefully Wendy and Nero keep them on a better path, although when they showed Abel playing with the ring Gemma gave him, I have a feeling in 20 years he'll be a patched member. He's already shown signs of violence.

Seeing Jax kiss his kids, Nero and Wendy goodbye was heart wrenching for me.

  • Oh no, I know he had to die.  That doesn't bother me.  IDK, the suicide by semi...I just, blerg.  Didn't love it.

Him saying goodbye to the kids was totally sad.  I was hoping Nero and Wendy would take them in the end.

IDK, Sutter is just so ham handed and dramatic.  Sometimes it felt like he was bludegoning us with the point.
  • Yeah I get what you're saying. I guess it was to show his final "sacrifice", like JT did in an attempt to save Jax. Sutter is definitely overdramatic at some points, particularly in this episode.

I'm glad they're with Wendy and Nero and that Jax was able to start paperwork to get Wendy some money to start them off in a better place.

The opening montage of Jax was great, I thought. Throwing out the white AF 1s and putting on his dad's boots, then going to storage and burning all that stuff, including his notepads so his boys wouldn't be able to read any of it. While he was a shitty dad and father, he did at least try his best at the very end.
