  While I love pearls, I think jewelry is definitely something you can get funky with for your wedding. It allows you to show your personality while still keeping a traditional white dress (if that's what you're doing). I say go for it. Can we see your dress and what jewelry you're thinking of?

  I love funky jewelry. I'm wearing some bright, canary yellow earrings and maybe a funky ring too. Or a brightly colored bracelet.

  I forgot to mention, our wedding colors are mint, white and grey. My finace will be wearing a light grey suit. The sash on my dress has a few little pearls on it, so thats why I was thinking a pearl bracelet, but it is so boring to me...I dunno...I figured if I just did a fun ring I could get away with it.

  I love that ring! But I feel like it's a bit casual, especially compared to your earrings (which seem rather glamorous).

  Your dress is gorgeous! I agree with a previous poster that the ring looks much more casual than your dress or earrings. To me, the hammered finish really makes it more casual. That said, it's your wedding and even a large statement ring is not that big so I'd say wear it if you love it. The colors obviously work with your color scheme and if a large chunky ring makes you feel more "you" for the day, then I'm all for it.

  Yes! Show some style. Just go with high quality pieces. Cheap pieces with fake turquoise are always really obvious. If you do this, use the good stuff and use it strategically. If you have a statement necklace, forego the headband, bracelet, and big earrings. Coco Chanel one said to take one thing off before you leave the house. Think about that.
