But kitty is resting comfortably under her Christmas tree and gets her stitches out next Monday. We gave in and took her stupid collar off yesterday beause she was seriously upset about not being able to groom.
It's to far advanced for chemo or surgery--it would just cause her to have a hard recovery and the tumor would re-grow.
We can treat pain and use steroids to help keep her appetite up if need be, and she's not suffering yet.
We didn't pin them down on a time-frame, but I'm fairly sure the time frame is "whenever she's in to much pain"--because there's pretty much no way it won't be the humane choice at some point before the cancer gets us to that point.
Buffy picked out a new collar for her this weekend, we may open kitty's Christmas gifts early if she goes downhill at all fast.
This is my first 'grown up' pet where I've had to deal with this sort of grown-up stuff and I'm finding it really hard, so thanks for all the support peeps.
