Has anyone tried on the Mori Lee 20415 bridesmaids dress? Does the fabric bunch at neckline?

Has anyone purchased these dresses for their bridesmaids? I really like the style and think it is very slimming, however, a bit of the fabric was puckering at the neck line making it not look smooth across. I asked the woman in the store about it, and she said it's just how it is, however, it doesn't look like that in the photos online. I was hoping it was just because so many people tried it on ;) The dress is the Mori Lee 20415 Bridesmaid Dress.

I've attached photos of both what it looks like online and the photo of one of my bridesmaids trying it on where you will see the bunching.

If anyone could post some other photos of this dress, it would be great!!! Thank you.

Re: Has anyone tried on the Mori Lee 20415 bridesmaids dress? Does the fabric bunch at neckline?

  • It's called: "Angelina Faccenda Bridesmaids by Mori Lee 20415"
  • I really doubt that that is how it just is.  I think it has more to do with the fit rather then how it just is.  I am thinking alterations could take care of any bunching.

  • So, I had my sister go back with me to try it on again and it looks worse. The woman in the store said that they "use photoshop".... I am a graphic designer and I understand that photos can be manipulated, however, this looks horrible in comparison to the actual photos of the dress on the web. Has anyone seen this dress or tried it on?! Thank you :)

was the sample the right size for your sister if the sample was way to big of course its going to do things in places it shouldn't because well it does not fit right. once you get the dress in your correct size ordered and in the store the fit will be much better. when i went and did my wedding gown shopping the dress i ordered the sample was a 22 it fit in the hips but the top did not lay right on me.. i loved the dress so much i purchased it anyways and when it came in i was able to finally see how the top looked on me. granted it was taken in 3 times before my wedding because it was just way to big.

is there another shop in your area that carries this designer if you go on facebook to the mori lee page ask them about how the top lays they are always good about getting back to you

if you are still having doubts about this dress move on to something similar

also sample gowns both bridal and bridesmade are tried on so many times that they will stretch out and if its a popular style for the salon it will get even more wear out of it
  • Again, the dress probably needs alterations done to the neckline to smooth it out.

This may be a problem for your sister but it may not be a problem for someone else.  Everyone is shaped differently and how a dress fits on one person may not fit the same on another.  My friend had to have the top her BM dress shorten because they way it was originally came up way to high between the top of her chest and neck, while my sister it fit just right.  Same with a lot of wedding dresses.  The bust area sometimes needs to be taken in to sit flush against the chest instead of sticking out.  In summary, alterations are probably needed.
