  You should change the tense.  Invitations are written in the thirs person and yours is in the first person.   I'm also not a huge fan of the 'joyfully invite' but you can keep that in there  - it's not an etiquette issue;

  and

   

  John Doe
  

  request the pleasure of your company
  

  as they are united in marriage
  

   Saturday, the twenty-fifth of August

  two thousand and twelve

  I agree with PP about keeping the whole invite in the third-person, it starts in third-person so it doesn't sound right switching it to the first-person.

  I don't think you need "cocktail hour and reception."  Just keep it "Reception immediately following."

  Too bad wedding crashers are uninvited guests so you don't count. Besides, you'd be crashing Jane Smith and John Doe's wedding. haha
