@MsKatieHall‌, I notice that in addition to this thread, you asked this same question in several other threads. Since nobody likes it when their threads are hijacked, would you please delete the posts in the other threads?

Also, please don't use your own name as your screen name here. It's against TOS to share personal information like that here and also unsafe.

As to your question, you can offer your mother a corsage and have her escorted to her seat by an usher just before your flower girls (if any) and/or bridesmaids start down the aisle (if no flower girls).

Personally if I had already told my mom she could escort me down the aisle I wouldn't want to take that back.  There are no ways to avoid hurt feelings at that point.  Your mom has every "right" as your parent to escort you as your dad does if that is what you want.  Are you doing a "daddy daughter dance"?  That's an alternative "special moment" for just you and your dad besides walking down the aisle.

If the two of them can't grow up and act like adults for 2 minutes to walk to you together, I would see about having one of them walking me half way and then the other one walking me the rest of the way.

Me, too.  OP, you were silly to have deleted your post.  Now everybody will come to look and see what the drama is all about.

Posters are not able to delete their posts. Suggesting they do so only results in DDs which are frowned upon as well.

Well, if deleting isn't possible, she could at least apologize for trying to use other people's threads to ask her own question. It wasn't necessary to DD her posts in her own thread, because we'd have been happy to answer her actual question in her thread.

Yes, they are. They do it all the time.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

Yep. They can't delete threads that they start (only a mod can) but they can delete posts that they make in threads.

A significant portion of my post was deleted when quoted. Yes, they can delete the words from their posts, but they can not delete the post itself - resulting in a Dirty Delete, which is friended upon. Telling posters to delete posts is bad advice. They can only edit posts, but not truly delete them.

They CAN delete the post in its entirety, though. They simply cannot delete a thread they started, but they CAN delete a post/comment within a thread. You say they can only edit, but they edit BY deleting. I deleted the rest of your post when quoting you b/c this is the only part I wanted to reference. We all know threads as a whole can't be deleted as far as removing them from having existed by the poster, but comments can, and it seemed odd that you said they couldn't. I realize it's just a word choice thing.

My main point was that PP should not tell people to delete their posts as it encourages bad internet forum etiquette.

Like you said - word choice, I should have clarified that you cannot delete the post itself, just the words in the post, thus leaving an empty post or DD, but the post still exist, it's just empty - which is exactly what the OP did after being told she should delete her posts - which was bad advice.

Don't DD, don;t suggest others do it. PP suggesting OP put XP was sage advice, deleting her posts was not.

I don't think I saw the thread in question, but am I the only one who thinks it really is no big deal to ask your own question in an already posted thread?  Now if your question has nothing to do with the current thread then that would just be weird but I have seen posters piggy back questions all the time on others threads as the discussion progresses.
I don't think it's a big deal. It seems like it would flow and change like a conversation does.

I totally agree. I don't mind an on topic "thread-jack." I mind the hell out of DDs. A zombie bump annoys me a little, but still not as bad as a DD. The oldest thread OP had bumped with her on topic question was form August, so I don't think it qualifies as a zombie. Only think OP did that was questionable in the begin was XP. She was then advised to DD.

This OP asked her question four times on four threads in the same board.  That is overdoing it, IMHO.  She did delete her posts.  Very annoying!
