Happy New Year!

Hope 2015 is off to a good start for everyone. H and I are back from the Poconos. It was fun, but COLD!!! Now time to unpack, ugh!! Today is my birthday. We were supposed to go to my parents house to celebrate, but she's not feeling well. Instead, H and I are going to go to the Cheesecake Factory later. My cousin gave us a gift card for Xmas. Strawberry martinis...yum!

  • Mmmmm.....  Cheesecake Factory.  I wish we had one here!  Godiva Chocolate is heaven.

  • Happy birthday!!

I just rolled out of bed and am sipping my coffee while H is concocting something in the kitchen (I think he said a tomato and goat cheese frittata...marrying a man who loves to cook has been one of my best life choices thus far).  2015 is treating me kindly so far.

  • Happy birthday! H and I are being lazy bumps on a log today and hanging out in pjs with the pup. Perfect start to the new year.
  • Happy birthday!!

FI and I busted his mom out of the hospital today.

OK, OK, she was released and called to tell us to come get here, but whatever. She's home now and doing well. We're all sitting around watching the Winter Classic and dozing off under cozy blankets.
  • Omg I had so much alcohol. And we ended up at a Dennys with random people we met. I didn't even know there was a Dennys near by.

We got our breakfast...just before they wrapped up breakfast. And we've been lounging in the room. Gonna go gamble some in a bit and hit up a nearby shopping center.
  • We're watching yesterday's Can/USA hockey game.  Don't spoil it for me with scores though.  2 minutes left and we're gonna kick your ass USA!!  ;)  And we're eating Tim Hortons soup for lunch.  Mine was super yummy today.  A very Canadian start to the year I think

  • Happy Birthday.

I worked one job today.  Now I'm chilling on the couch hating HGTV.  2 guys are looking to by a private island.   Budget is in the millions.  I have to head to the other job in a little while.  The numbers were light so I'm kind-of hoping they tell me I don't have to come in tonight.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
