Addressing Save the Dates

I'm getting ready to send out our Save the Date cards. I'm wondering, what is the proper etiquette in addressing Save the Dates to families with children. We are planning on having kids at our wedding, do the save the dates need to include them, or can that be saved for the invitation? What about single people who will be invited with a guest, does their Save the Date need to include and guest?  Thank you.

    I included them on the STD because I thought the kids might be excited.  As for single people, just address it to them.  The STD is informal, so I don't know if there are super hard rules to follow, though.

    You don't have to include the kids names if you do not want to.  I would probably not include them because once you put people's names on that STD then they have to be invited and you really don't know what may happen between now and when invites need to go out.  Your budget may change and your guest list may need to be adjusted a bit to compensate.  This is why STDs can be a bit tricky and may not be a great idea to send them to every single person on your guest list because you just never know what the future will bring.

    As for singles, just address it to them.  Then when you send out the invite include "and Guest" there.

    if you have to say "and family"
    anyone in a relationship should be addressed as "and john doe" not "and guest". show you care and want to try to find out names my cousin did not and it was really irritating and rude even though they were informal.

    Thank you for the advice. Another question I thought of. I know it's generally frowned upon to address the actual invitations with labels. But is it ok to use labels for Save the Dates?
