Got some crappy news...

ugh...one of our GM's had to drop out because of financial reasons...He & I have been BFF's since preschool...He just had to put a ton of money into his car, which then turned into more and resulting in him having to purchase a new car...(I would be suing the car dealership that he took his old car too...dumb mechanic!!)  and he just relocated with a new job...so I completely understand why he can't be there...=( I want to make a life size cut out of him that way my BM who was supposed to walk with him can walk it down the aisle..hahahaha

=(  this sucks....I need to win the lottery or have some rich aunt that i didn't know about die & leave me her estate...hahaha

    Im sorry; That does suck. I lucked out when my mom paid for both my MOH dresses when they couldn't. Though one is my sister... Is there a way other people who know him could pool some to help out?

    I don't know...because there are 3 of us getting married this summer & then 1 having a baby...so funds are kind of tight for everyone...=(  He also had to back out of my MOH's wedding too...so if we do a pool, I feel bad that he wouldn't be able to be in my MOH's wedding either...ugh...

    That really sucks.  I totally feel his pain, though.  I'm in 3 weddings this year (one being my own) and 2 more next year... weddings are expensive!!!  :(

    they are expensive!! I am in 3 as well!  including my own...mine, then a really close friend, and then my BFF/MOH's wedding...(those two are within 1 week of each other...)

    That blows LM!!! Things will get better. I am in the same situtation as you as one of my BM had to drop out otherwise she would have lost her job if she came to our wedding. It totally sucks, but it will work out in the end.

    I wish too that I won the lottery. The powerball hit like 3 times in RI! One for 386mil to an 81 yr. old!!!

    awww LM, I am sorry :( this is such a crappy situation!!

    Did the mechanic admit that he screwed up?? does your friend have any sort of documentation re: the screw up? Because if he did something to ruin your friend's car, and your friend had to pay for it, and then still had to purchase a new car.....that is a huge issue.

    I'm sorry to hear that, we have a GM too that may need to drop out.  It really sucks that you have known him for so long and he won't get to take part in your special day.  I hope one of the suggestions from above  might work out for you.  =0(

    The mechanics (yes more than one) were complete jerks (excuse my french) to him I guess...To my knowledge they did not cause more damage, however, they never fixed the problem.  they did not correctly diagnose the car's issues...he put almost $6k into that car and ended up having to buy another because he didn't want to keep putting $ into the car...but at least his new car is pretty..haha
