  I believe a tux should always be black, which works great with diamond white.

  But if you like grey then a nice grey suit would be nice as well.  But what does your FI want to wear? That is the most important question since he is the one who has to wear the suit/tux so he should have a say and make the final decision.

  
  

  And remember, white, ivory, off-white, grey, black, tan, etc are all neutral colors and will all go well together.  The only time that I could see an off-white dress looking "dirty" would be if you are pressed up against a pure white back drop and everyone in your wedding party is wearing pure white dresses/suits.  And since I am thinking that is not the case you should be fine.
