Tent Wedding?!?!? Where do i start?

Long story short im having the hardest time finding a venue in the area that checks off everything I am looking for... im thinking tent wedding is the way for me to go. I don't even know where to start with a tent wedding.

 

I have looked at the Olympia already - no more doable dates left :(

Has anyone put together their own tent wedding that can help get me started? Did you book someone to help? has anyone worked with the city to rent park space, etc...

    Realize that you've got a LOT of additional rentals and barriers to deal with when it comes to a tent wedding!!!  Rental of the tent, flooring, what if it rains, you'll need tent walls, porta potties (do you REALLY want to be using porta potties in your wedding gown?!?!?!), table & chair rentals, etc....  Many places won't allow you to put up a tent because it would damage the property.  Then there's the cost for all of this which nickel and dimes you to pieces!!

    You're much better to be willing to compromise some details possibly a park shelter house which will provide for at least running water in many cases.  But remember, you can't control the weather, it can either be 110 in the shade, rainy, or 40 and sunny, this is Wisconsin after all!  Keep looking as there is a venue that has all you need!!!  You mentioned the Olympia - any chance of Circus World since they rent out for receptions?  Otherwise, there are a lot of Community Centers down that way - the one my cousin used (can't remember the town) has kitchen, AC, restrooms, park, etc.    Also, check out the County Fairgrounds since they rent buildings out..
