Wedding Woes

Morning

Tomorrow's my day off.  YAY!  I was sad it was only Tuesday when I woke up today.

Work is supposed to send me a new page-a-day calendar (we get one every year).  I haven't gotten it yet and and it's driving me crazy. I use my calendar to make notes, espcially for call back purposes.  Yes I could use my outlook calendar, but I just want my paper calendar.  Ha.

DH got home in time last night to help me do dishes and make dinner. And parent.  It was nice to not feel like I was running a 3 ring circus trying to get it all done and keep the kids from killing each other.

DH wants to go OOT next weekend to see BIL/SIL.  I'm torn about it.  I want to go see BIL/SIL, but I feel like going OOT is added stress I just don't want right now.

Oh and they tried to shift one part of our work  to a different team and everyone was pissed about the change.  The work type is time sensitive and it's been a big fat fail (which was a concern discussed in our team meeting yesterday and the previous team meeting).  They gave it back to us for now.  Everyone is gloating.  I still think they're going to find a way to take it from us.  Ah well.

ALSO, they're sending 10 people from my department (customer service) and 30-50 people from our inbound call center to work from home in a few weeks.  There will only be 3 people left in the office that do my work type.   I think the shut down last year due to the weather proved that having a strong WAH presence will save them money.
  • I'm liking all of the good stuff going on, @mrs.conn23. I hope that your H can continue to get home so you can dual parent.

I'm totally wiped out. Between PF's bedtime issues, having to go to the store with H (and PF in tow) at 8pm last night, and going to bed too late/getting up too early, I'm just fried. I need another day off like I had on Sunday. H and PF had a date, I took myself on a date. It was glorious. (BTW - Into The Woods is excellent). Tonight is making dinner - chicken curry! - doing laundry and hopefully folding and putting away laundry. H will be enlisted to help with the laundry.

    My baby is 4 tomorrow.

  • Morning.  I'm trying to get my work done but I just can't concentrate right now.

The kitchen is 75% finished.  We should be able to get it all done today.  I'm way too excited about it.  The kitchen is the only room we never touched since moving in 5.5 years ago and now I'm glad we never did paint it because we may not have done this project if I wasn't hating the dingy white walls.

Next up I'll have to figure out curtains and wall hangings.  And get a new rug for in front of the sink.
  • If I don't get settled into the new office today and get my work load balanced appropriately, I might set something on fire.

    Other than that, SSDD.

Oh, if I don't get my refrigerator today, I'm definitely setting something on fire.
  • Heh!

^That would be a true Secret Satan gift.
  • I loved your post mostly because I want to see Pyro-Varuna
  • We "Buckeyed" someone's house yesterday.  She hates them so a couple of us loaded up everything we owned and put it all over house. Then we took a picture and posted it to the neighborhood page to see how long before she figured out it was her house.  I had tears streaming from laughing so hard.

6let and M2 are both at school.  I should be folding and dusting, but I sit with a snuggling Max and play on the computer.

  • I showed DH the "Buckeyed" picture.  We had a good laugh.

  • I love that you did that, 6.  LOVE.

I spent the night running around, returned something to target in about 2.5 seconds---loved that.  Didn't love that it was listed at $89, but because I used coupons, etc---I only received $58 back or something.  Whatever, it's obviously what I paid, so I'll take it back.

I also got to watch The Holiday and make cookies, which was good for my soul.

    The end.
  • What is "buckeye"-ing?

Good afternoon. Had a doctor's appointment today (moved it up because things were getting bad this weekend) and started on a new med. Really hoping this one works. I also managed to finally a new therapist. Here's hoping things go okay with that next week. I ended up taking the day off because the doctor's appointment was at an odd time and I figured by the time I drove there, saw her, got meds, and came home I'd miss a good chunk of the day. In a bit, I think I'm going to run to the Apple store and look at iPads. My parents got me a gift card to use towards a new iPad so I want to figure out what I want.
  • Good luck Pmeg.  I hope the new meds work.
  • good luck PMeg - glad you're seeing someone new. hopefully the new med works. How long will it be before you can tell if it's helping? is it a matter of hours/days or more like weeks/months. I'm just asking since i know you were questioning he one that you tried in December,
  • Good luck, Pmeg!

Buckeyed is just a word I made up.  Friend hates OSU.  Since it was the big game and a bunch of people were flying flags and sporting scarlet and grey we decided to make her yard look like she was a fan.  We hung a bunch of stuff and took a pic then took it all down.

  • Ah...now I get it!

One of the meds, I was supposed to see an effect within 30 minutes of taking it. It's short acting, doesn't require time to build up. I did see some improvement but after about 2 weeks, nothing. The new med will be about a week at a 1/2 dose to get used to it. Right now, I'm not seeing much but I have to be patient because apparently this one will take some time to work.
