Wedding Invitations & Paper

Only need 10 invitations....where to get???!!

We are having a very small wedding and we only need 10 invitations. Most of the sites I have been on have a minim of 25. Does any one know a site where I can get just the 10?

  • It might be better to get 25 to have some extras to scrapbook, or in case one gets lost in the mail. I needed 78 invitations, so I had to buy 100, it's just the way it is.

Otherwise, you might be able to do them yourself from staples or something like that.

  • I used a local printer when I needed 19 birthday party invitations.  They didn't mind doing a small, odd quantity.  If you want to call them or happen to be near Indy, feel free to call Brainstorm Printing.
  • I don't mind buying a little more, but 15 more is a lot especially when we are on a tight budget. The 10th one is an extra one for us to keep. Hmmmm, may have to think about DIY...ugh

I'm in Cali, but thank you for the tip!
  • You might have some luck if you reach out to an Etsy vendor and let them know that you're having a small wedding. I would think they'd be happy to have your business rather than turn you away if you don't meet their standard minimum.

  • If you have someone create the invitation you can have as many as you want printed at Staples, Office Max, whatever...  There are many Etsy folks who create invites but you do the printing.
  • Have you looked at vista print? I think they do 10 for $6.50

  • I believe weddingpaperdivas.com will do a minimum of 10
  • Thank you ladies, all good ideas. I did just start looking at Etsy yesterday. Might be a good way to go!!
  • Ditto vistaprint or weddingpaperdivas. This shouldn't cost more than $15 or so if you don't do super fancy ones.

  • Honestly, if you only need 9, why not just hand-write invitations? People routinely hand-write far more than 9 thank-you notes, for instance.

The tradition of engraving (and later printing) invitations only came about when the exigencies of volume prevented hand-writing, after all.

  • I am using Walmart's stationary section they allow you to get a smaller amount - and they dont cost much
  • Looks like Smartpress offers short run printing, minimum of 10, so you might be in luck. They printed my sisters wedding invites, which turned out wonderful. Great paper selection.
