It's *my* Friday

Bring on the 4 day weekend.

I wasn't going to take Monday off, but I couldn't get us in for massages midday...only early or late.  So I booked morning appts. and we're going to make a day date of it.  Happy bday to us.  :D

We're leaving tomorrow morning to visit SIL and BIL in TN.  I can't wait.

DH and I need to make a project list and start doing budgets.  We want to do ALL.THE.THINGS but we need to be more organized that just wanting to do them. I AM hoping for the doors on my office to be done in the next month.

I got surprise morning snuggles from DefConn, for about 2 minutes and then he was *starving* and needed to eat right away. ;)

  • ::dragging self::

I'm miserable. The flu got me yesterday and I don't feel much better today.  I only saw my children for a couple hours in the morning and then I went to bed as soon as DH got home and only left it to go to the bathroom.

I'm glad I don't have anything to do today, so I can go back to bed again when DH gets home.
  • NOOOOOOOOOO TAW!!  :(  You poor thing.  I hope you can start feeling better sooner than later.  The flu is *nasty* this year.
  • Oh Taw.. you all need such a break!

It was a whopper and fries for breakfast kind of morning.

I get to go to the DMV today to make my car officially mine.

H is supposed to be in FL over my birthday. We're thinking maybe PF and I go with him and I can see my grandparents and we can do a last "only child" hurrah trip to Disney using that awesome GC from my boss.
  • Mrs.C, not gonna lie, I'm kinda disliking you at the moment.  I would love for it to be my Friday.  This week is kicking my ass.

I'm sleepy.  So ready for the weekend.  Might be going to see a live show on Friday night, IDK.  We have a regular game night w/a couple we really like now.  They wanted to go see a band of someone we all know.  I said, "We'd love to, but it depends on the time.  If they start at 10?  We're out".  I feel so old.  I just can't do work week and then go out late on Friday night anymore.
  • OMG, yes Varuna. We can't go out late Friday nights either.  If on the off-chance we do (which is like once a year), we're both downing coffee at 6pm.   I went to see a band with SIL (who's singer is a girl we both know) the day after Chirstmas.  I only made it because I had the week off and did nothing that day but hang out with the kids, but being out until 2am was still rough.
  • I just opened up my chobani yogurt+oats, and saw a little green...scraped it off, shrugged and it tastes fine.  Don't care...I was hungry.

This week has been a roller coaster, but I'm trying my best to go with the flow.

On the oldy moldy note:  If I'm staying up to hang with H after midnight, I usually drive through DD after 8:30 for a X-Large cup o'joe.  It is like a "treat" and also a necessary evil to stay up.
  • DIL finally had the baby yesterday, I don't know how I got this in 2 seperate posts, I'm so tired.  She made it to the hospital with only 30 min. to spare.  My son drove past stopped traffic on the shoulder or they would not have!  She cut it close, I have been worried the whole time about their long drive since she decided to go with a mid-wife group in Nashville.  Of course throw in a busted water main that had traffic a mess and it was almost one of those you see born on the side of the road.  All is good, we missed the birth with his sisters, but got there about an hour later.  He was a huge 8#, which is big for my tiny DIL.
  • Wow.  You've some cuties there pkat!  Congrats on the new grandbaby.  :)

DS finally slept last night, and it's amazing how much better I feel when I'm rested.  He woke once, I brought him in bed with us, and he slept until 5 minutes before my alarm went off.  I'll take that.

Also, I completely blew up my healthy eating plan yesterday, and I still lost a smidgen of weight.  I'll do better today, I was just happy to see that I hadn't gained 5 lbs just in Jolly Rancher Bites.

Trying to decide what to do for Wooz's spring break, now that Disney isn't going to consume most of our PTO this year.  Suggestions?  We're thinking maybe Chicago (museums, family, friends), or possibly the Smokies (national park/hiking, indoor water park hotel, aquarium, and maybe--gulp--Dollywood).
  • Yay-Mrs.Conn

    Congrats Pkat!

    Boo-Taw

On the old note: tomorrow night "bunco" is venturing out of the neighborhood.  The pregnant lady is using one of the minivans to drive us around.  I wonder how late we'll actually be out, but even the idea of it is making me laugh.

I can't seem to drop pounds and it's getting to me.  I mixed up the workout and have actually been watching my food intake and still gained.  Blergh.

  • Morning.

I now want another baby after seeing those pictures Pkat. I miss those little fingers and toes, and that glorious new baby smell.

I need the weekend as well. I'm tired, which is mostly my fault because I end up going to bed too late. Some things happened at work and now I'm in a scramble to get a bunch of things done before Friday. I wish I could fast forward through the day, and skip over Friday because tomorrow I have my performance review. :(  Today is my first appointment with my new therapist, and I made sure to wear waterproof mascara. I never cry in front of anyone but therapists.

I hope everyone feels better, especially your family Taw!
  • Pmeg-I'll be thinking good vibes for you and your therapist.  I'm learning that it takes quite a bit of time to get comfortable for me to cry in front of a person.

    Good Luck today!
  • I'm so easily swayed. The ladies in my office decided to pick up breakfast and my "No thank You" soon turned into, "Here is my order."

Bad Nola. Looking at my healthy salad in my lunch bag.....

  • congrats on beautiful baby.

It's SUPPOSED to be my Friday, but I'm working tomorrow.
    boo.
I hae a headache, I've underpacked my lunch, and I'm worried about some life stuff.  and my parents are watching Buffy for the 3rd and 4th times this week, which I"m not thrilled about.
(NOt because theyr'e anything but awesome, more because they get stretched to thin and they'll *always* inconvenience themselves to say yes when I ask)
