Must Dos in Myrtle Beach, SC?

FI and I are getting married in September 2015 and probably headed to Myrtle Beach for our honeymoon (we have some deals on hotels down there).

So what are the Must Dos? We love golf (but are not great at it!), shopping, and casual dining! Any tips?!

  • I love Broadway at the Beach. It's a big plaza with shopping, restaurants, Imax movies. I forget the name but there's a building in that plaza that looks upside down and inside is all zip lines and rope courses.
Tons of mini golf places- Captain Hooks is my all time favorite lol
Ride the Skywheel- giant ferris wheel that looks like you're about to tumble right into the ocean.

There's a Golden Corral if you like that kind of food. But we found Fuji Restaurant right across the street on King's Road/ King's highway.. It's buffet all you can eat chinese and japanese including sushi. We didn't know the cost when we sat down but thought "eh it's prob $30 each, no big deal". We got the bill and were shocked that it was $10 each! We were so stoked that we went back two more times.

  • The last time I was there was a while back before I moved, but I had fun. I think the things I enjoyed the most, other than the beach itself, was the aquarium, MagiQuest if you're a nerd like me (you get to pretend to be a witch/wizard/sorcerer and complete quests using your wand) and there was a Ripley's Believe It or Not museum thing that was fun.

  • Ripley's is so old school, it hasn't been updated in probably 15 years. But I still love it and find it fun!

  • H & I really enjoyed the Legends in Concert, which is an impersonation show.  They had 5 performers and they were all really good!

We ate at Old Benjamin's Calabash seafood buffett (there were 2 locations).  It was a huge buffett and featured lots of fish, but plenty of meat options (my H doesn't eat seafood, but had plenty of things to try).  The one thing I really liked about this place was that the kitchen and the fried seafood line shared a wall, so the hot freshly fried seasfood was immediately presented to eaters in the buffett line.

We also did mini-golf.  It was pirate themed, I don't recall the name of the place though.

There is also a burger place, Riverside cafe (?), they have multiple locations in MB.  They have license plates hanging on the walls and really delicious burgers.  We actually ate their twice!

  • @oliveoilsmom My husband LOVES riverside cafe! There is one up in North Myrtle, I didn't know there were others.

  • @Jenna8984 Yes!  Glad to know my memory isn't completely failing!  It's good to know that they have one in North Myrtle because that is where our timeshare units are located and I know when we go back, H will want to eat there again (so do I too)!  He used to frequently go to MB with friends and he was really happy it was still in business when we vacationed there 2 years ago.
  • Crocodile Rocks piano bar is great, if you're into that kind of thing. It's one of the best piano bars I've ever been to - the musicians are really good and it's a really entertaining show. Get there early if you want a table!

  • Spend at least one day in Charleston if you can. It's beautiful, and there are plenty of things to do, shops, restaurants, etc.

  • Eat at Margarita's. Or just drink.

We did WonderWorks, which is the upside down building. The zip lines and rope courses are on the top floor. We ended up spending like 6 hours in there lol. We also ate at Rioz, it's a Brazilian steakhouse. Everything we had there was great, but the roasted pineapple was the highlight lol. I can't remember the cost, but I don't remember being like "Omg, that's expensive".
