Engagement Shoot in APRIL?!?!?

As we all know Michigan can be very hit or miss with weather, I really wanted to do some nice outdoor pictures for our engagement session however we are quickly running out of time! we are planning on doing our engagement shoot in mid April and I have 0 Idea where to take the photos, any ideas would be so helpful!!

    Well that depends on where you are locaed and how far you want to drive. There is always down town Detroit(hart plaze, the river front, belle isle) There is Ann Arbor(alot of sweet places around the school and a few sweet parks) As for down river there is Elizabeth park or heritage park are always a great place. I shoot in northville and has a sweet small town vibe with might be what your looking for. I'm sure i'm missing a few but that might be your  started.

    In Livonia there is a public park called Greenmead Village. It is at the intersection of 8 Mile Rd and Newburgh Rd. We actually had our wedding there but took engagement pictures there as well. It is an historic park that has lots of cool buildings and lovely gardens. Not sure what the gardens would look like in April. You can't go in the buildings so if it rains you'd be running around to get to the porches of the buildings. 

    The city of Warren has a lovely city hall on Van Dyke north of 12 Mile Rd that is open to the public. The foyer is 2-3 stories and has lots of glass and windows. There is also a fountain/pond in front. Cool in a modern sort of way. It would work if it were raining. 

    There is also Belle Isle as mentioned above. It has GORGEOUS buildings, a large glass conservatory, the Casino is fabulous and has large covered porches. There are gardens and the Detroit skyline in the background. They even have a beach.

    Any specific region? It's a pretty big state so there's alot of options depending on where you are.
