Do you guys get any really odd text from your friends? Like my BFF just texted me "alcohol flavored jolly rancher". I have no clue what he is talking about. It is the first I've heard from him all day and that is literally all the text said. My guess is he is drunk

I have a friend who texts really fast and her old phone would automatically open the latest text, so sometimes she would acidentally respond to my text answering someone else's text. Maybe something like that happened?

I texted H (then fiance) this:

I need to ask you something and I want you to be totally honest with me, it might be awkward with us after this but I have to know how you feel, I have kept this in for a while and it’s about time I was straight up and just confront you about it, I hope this doesn’t ruin the relationship we already have, I just need to know and I can’t see any other way to get over this, it just doesn’t seem fair on me if I don’t get an answer, I want you to tell me truthfully, no matter what it is, I just want your honest opinion…do you know the muffin man?

Got some chuckles out of that.

Drunk is always a possibility. I once started to text a list of things I needed at the store to my sister, stopped and hit send instead of drafts and turned my phone off to go answer the door.

The landline rang in 5 minutes with BIL saying are you all right.

I will be in your debt forever if you bring me a quart of vinegar and five pounds of sugar

I get really random texts from my BFF all the time. They are always the result of drinking and bad autocorrect ",a little. I cynic live you. Use mozz you so so Mick!&&!!".

She gets weird texts from me all the time either because Fi is on the phone and I'm trying to tell him something and just type it into a text to her and accidentally hit send. Or I'm drunk and text her random crap to remind me of in the morning.

You should try one of the new hand held translation devices. My Mom was sent one by a manufacturer, not good I guess. But I tried typing on it pressed a button and whoosh
She had it set on Russian. Cyrillic alphabet. She pushed another Hebrew. Backwards and another alphabet. Mom says the program has too many bugs to market, but it would be fun for screwing with people's minds.

I got a text from a random number stating that the person was "lamenting what happened between us" but that they thought of me often and still cared a lot about me, and that they just wanted to say goodbye.

It was very long, dramatic, strange, and sounded a lot like a suicide text. I could not figure out who the hell it was from and when I asked, I didn't get an answer. It was freaking me out all day. Finally they texted back. Turns out, it was a guy I had been best friends with since junior high but we had a falling out in college and lost contact. He was going to Africa to do a study and thought he might not make it back alive.... The whole thing was just fucking weird. And spoiler alert, he made it back alive.
