shoe cushions

I haven't ever worn shoe cushions before.  Has anyone tried them?  If so what kind? (I know they have heels vs ball of your feet, vs the whole foot, etc)  Do you need to up your shoe size to account for them?  Any comments or info is GREATLY appreciated.  Just trying to find some comfortable shoes for my wide feet.

Re: shoe cushions

  • i use dr scholls for her cushions for the balls of the feet. they're wonderful! they also really help to keep my feet from slipping down when i wear heels. i bought them because my feet kept slipping, but i don't think you'd have to go up a size unless the shoes were super tight to begin with.
  • I've used a couple of different kinds of insoles for flats and have found some were pretty helpful, but I never used the kind for heels. I imagine you would want to shoe to fit a bit looser before you put them in though. The kind I used were 3/4 length, so they left a little bit of room in the toes so they aren't crowded.
