My sister/MOH comes in today for my bachelorette party tomorrow and shower on Saturday. I told her I don't mind all the penis things, but from what I can gather from my BMs, I might as well dress up as an actual penis. 

Good news is I was told to wear something that looks good with cowboy boots, so I know we are going to my favorite bar that carries my favorite whiskey (which I don't get hungover from). I know the drinks and shots will be flowing abundantly though, because its ladies night and its $2 whatever you want (seriously. it's amazing.) So I will probably still get hungover.

Shower is in my home town which is a 3 hour drive away, which I will make with my MOH and two friends. Super grateful for my friends that are going down for it, and surprised as well (it's hard for us to get a weekend day off).

Any tips, tricks or stories you want to tell about your bachelorette? Anything I can do to prevent the hangover? I think a couple of people attending are trying to not allow me to drink water. I think I need to start drinking water now.

    Not allowing you to drink water? Are they 15 or something? That is not okay, and I would be pretty upset.

    Make sure you eat first, DRINK WATER regardless of what those idiots say or do (especially before you go to bed, but throughout the night as well), and don't be afraid to say "no" if someone's offering you a drink you don't want. I like to drink, but I have no patience for people pushing drinks on others because you don't know someone else's limit and how they're feeling, bachelorette or not. 

    I always take some vitamins in the morning along with more water, but any "remedy" other than water and time that anyone suggests is just placebo, pretty much.

    No stories as I refuse to have one myself, but I helped organize a good friend's earlier this year that was a good time.. Started with fancy cupcakes and champagne cocktails in a hotel suite in a town a couple hours from our city, progressed to hitting every bar in that town, and ultimately ended up with me, the bride, and her MOH alone in a nearly-empty strip club drinking canned beer and playing that awful game where you throw loose change at a rolled up poster a stripper holds up to her junk (and winning magnets and posters.) And then running into someone we thought had cabbed back to the hotel hours before just wandering up the street like "Guys, I wanna dance more, let's dance more!" Pretty fun, I admit.

    You NEED to drink water. I'd be sneaking in whatever water I could. 

    I got super drunk the first night of my bach weekend. My friends and I even snuck into a grass roots festival that was happening a few miles away. It sounded like a good idea at 2am. But climbing fences and walking miles and miles was really hard while drunk. And 34. The next day we were supposed to go wine tasting, and I was so hungover that I could barely even get alcohol past my lips. 

    So yeah. WATER.

    Yea, I'm hoping they were just joking.

    I planned my sister's (same one that's doing mine) bach and she wanted the whole "stripper" experience. It was a big let down but we had fun laughing at the guys.

    And don't listen to that country song that says "save water, drink beer."  Nope.

    So... I was at a country bar last weekend. And... there was a group of bachelorettes sitting at a table nearby.
    They looked bored as hell.
    And?

    Wait for it...

    They were wearing party hats with white paper cut-out penises taped to the hats. I kid you not. This is so snarky of me and I'm sorry, but please don't be that party!  Don't dress up like an actual penis, LOL....

    WUT? Do they want you to have a terrible hangover? 

    I pound water before I go out and then try to alternate - drink, water, drink, water. That combined with slamming a glass of water and a couple advil before going to sleep and it's like nothing ever happened.

    Alternate water/beer(liquor whatever)/water. Repeat. You should go one for one. Makes for a lot of peeing, but it helps. I always take some ibuprofen before bed, make sure you eat and have a good base for drinking :) no salads! Lots of carbs and proteins. Also, pedalyte or gatorade/powerade are the best for restoring electrolytes in the morning.

    Sounds like a blast! Have fun!!

    Those people are NOT your friends if they don't allow you to drink water. For crying out loud, that's just dangerous. Make that explicitly clear that you do NOT find alcohol poisoning funny.

    Hell, when I've been at bachelorette parties in the past I've made it my job to make sure the bride gets plenty to eat and plenty of water. I want you to enjoy your party, not throw up on the limo driver, forget half the night, and spend the next 2 days with your head in the toilet wondering where the hell your cell phone is.

    Wow.. not let you drink water? no no no.. I'm too old for that anymore! The last one I planned was Vegas and the first thing I put in the room was a case of water! I think we ended up drinking more water that weekend than alcohol and it was a blast!

    I really don't want to be that party! I've seen them at the bar I go to too, actually just last week. They looked so bored.

    With my crew, I know we will have fun. I know there is a tiara with little penises in the veil for me, and penis straws for everyone who wants. I can stay at that country bar all night but I know a few of the girls aren't into it. I suggested a few other bars in the area (since my sister/MOH isn't familiar of where to go and which places I enjoy other than that country bar) for when the country idea dies down and we want a change of pace. One is in CityWalk at Universal, so I know already from other bach parties they don't allow the penis showing.

    @dolewhipper I'm having my bachelorette this weekend too!! We are doing a quick trip over to Disneyland, since my sisters/FSIL aren't 21 yet we thought it would be fun. We also have flasks packed haha :) No advice to give, just HAVE FUN!!! :)

    WOOOO! March brides, what what.

    I did 2 bach parties that centered around Disney, but they were at Epcot so there were ample drinks around. We would have the bride complete a task in each country and someone would give her a snack or drink. Very fun indeed.

    Don't get measles! (I'm kidding, of course.)

    I would definitely be drinking some water! And maybe take a couple Advil or whatever your headache reliever of choice is beforehand. That always helps me to stay ahead of the headache so its not so bad later. I hope you have fun!

    Yeah, lady strippers are much better than male ones regardless of your orientation. Better dancers, certainly, My friends all enjoy an occasional trip to the peelers but not the male ones, lol. This particular bachelorette, it wasn't a planned thing either, we were just drunk and bored so we went next door to the sketchiest strip club I've ever seen. It was a good time because it was spontaneous, not planned, though.

    If someone told me I couldn't drink water while drinking at my bachelorette party, I would straight up decline the party.  That is so dangerous, and it's not going to create a "better buzz" or whatever the fuck they're going for.  The best way to party hard all night long is to stay hydrated while you get your drink on, and have some snacks along the way (I get terrible drunk munchies.  Eat ALL THE BAR FOOD/cheezits/In N out!. haha).
