Does this look bridal enough?

My wedding was moved up to this August, and I'm trying to find a dress soon. I'm not sure if I want a short or a long dress. The wedding will probably be outdoors, so I was wondering if this looks bridal enough?
I would add a sparkly belt and red heels. Keep in mind that this dress looks short online, but I'm short and this goes right above my knees. I'm kind of going for that bohemian look.

Re: Does this look bridal enough?

  • It will look bridal because you, as a bride, will be wearing it.

Forget about whether or not it looks bridal enough, in regards to what the wedding industry deems bridal.  Do you love the dress?  Do you love the way you look in it?  Can you see yourself getting married in it?  If the answer to these questions is yes then you have found your dress!

  • You're the the bride, that makes it bridal! Wear the dress that you want to be married in not what other may or may not deem bridal. I think it's gorgeous and is perfect for an outdoor August wedding!
  • I think that dress will look great! If that's the one you love and that's what you want to wear on your wedding day, then that is the perfect dress! :)

  • Very nice, and the lace is romantic and bridal.

I am glad to hear it will be a little longer on you than on the model.
  • Lol, I would never wear anything that short. I honestly think it's gorgeous, I just always pictured myself in a long dress. I'm going to try dresses on today, and if I don't find anything I like, I think I'm going to get this. If later on I find something else, It can always be a reception dress!

I think it's pretty! I wouldn't worry about what's a "bridal" dress and what's not -- I got my dress at Marshall's and it's not technically a "wedding dress," but I'm going to wear it to my wedding anyway. Who gives shits?

My only concern would be long sleeves in August. Depending where you live, that could be incredibly uncomfortable for you. Since it's sheer lace with no lining under the sleeves, that might make a world of difference, though.
  • If you're wearing it and you're the bridal, it's going to be "bridal". I think that dress is absolutely gorgeous and I would feel so rad wearing it.

  • I actually found my dress tonight. Its a Mori Lee Julietta 3121
  • Much better!  It looks beautiful on you!  The other dress was too short, IMHO.  You can still do the flowers in your hair if you wish.

  • It's meant to be a fit and flare, but the dress was several sizes too big. I took this picture with only one clip holding it. Later on a worker added more clips to show me the full effect and I loved it.

Big change, but this new one is also gorgeous!
  • Lol I know, I went to the place trying to find a simple, flowy dress, and ended up choosing nearly the exact opposite. But I love it :) Thank you!
  • It's cute and with the accessories you mentioned I think it would work. My only concern is that with it being a shorter dress would be the weather. Is the weather in the area you are getting married at typically windy at that time of year? Granted it can be windy anywhere at any time. But with having a knee length (or shorter) dress, if it's windy I would be worried about my dress being blown up during the ceremony.
  • I found a dress Monday, and it's long. I put a picture in the comments. Thank you though!

That is a beautiful dress. You must be excited to have done so well!
  • I'm so excited! It's only been a few days and I want to put it on again!
