Awesome! WooHoo! After Pitch Perfect, this will be the highlight of the movie season for me - YEA!

I'll have to see if my MIL is available since my BSC SIL thought this would be an excellent family outing. I had to sit next to then FMIL, it was almost as bad as the time I saw Pulp Fiction with my dad.

This is why I watch movies at home

There has been occasions where DH has already gone to bed and while flipping past Cinemax I come across the end of said movie - you know where they have to figure out what to do for a couple hours before getting pancakes...DH has found out what they do while waiting for pancakes, he just doesn't know that's the reason.

I definitely do NOT agree with you, but I found this hilarious because my FI actually refers to him as "Charming Potato" instead of Channing Tatum.

No you're not. I have an extreme dislike of Channing Tatum. MIL is mad about him, and anyone else who is "ripped". Personally I don't like that much definition... But I think I'm in the minority.

See, I think he has a great body and all, I just find his face incredibly unappealing. If you put a different head on his body, I'd be into it I think. I like fit guys, although I prefer swimmer-y bodies to weight-lifter type. Lanky and cut, not balloon-animal muscles if you know what I mean. And I don't do pudge. I'll take scrawny over built but with a bit of extra fat any day, personally.

I don't actually like super-cut men so much. I like a bit of pudge myself (they seem snugglier haha). And I can't get over the fact that ol' Potatum shares a hometown with the first real asshole I met in college. Which is totally 100% unfair, I know.

I agree with the bolded. Being 'ripped' doesn't necessarily do anything for me, but I don't know guys. Seeing those men dance around and do all these sweet moves with their body just does something to my lady-parts, and I DIG it! haha

Also, @hellosweetie1015 I too dated a jackass from CT's hometown. That place is full of them.

I found Magic Mike super funny, maybe that was the wrong reaction, I dunno. But I thought it was great and really want to see the second. (yes even as a lesbian I can apperciate the male form, but really I was more into the way they moved their bodies)

I don't either. He pretty much looks like every other generic frat boy jock I've ever encountered. I really don't find anything all that special or distinctive. I couldn't pick him out of a crowd.

I'm getting flack from my friends, but I really don't have an interest in seeing this and still haven't seen the first one. I get that I can't really judge it unless I've seen it, but every comment they've made about it isn't about the movie itself, but rather the guys' bodies. I can certainly appreciate attractive things and am not immune to a little lust, but I really just don't see the appeal of watching an entire movie where the main point for doing so is to objectify men. Meh.

Me and my mom saw the first one together. I have it on blueray.

It's a fun movie, and I think it holds some introspective looks into an industry that hasn't been portrayed much from the male side of it. Also I saw an interview with CT about the first film, he helped with writing some of the storyline. He actually was working at a male strip club in his younger years before he made his big break and shared some of those experiences.

I will be watching this one as it would be nice to see if his furniture business really worked out.
